I like what Vince Carter did against San Antonio. He could be like ray Allen.
Scola would be a nice bench player too. Don't Know the$ they seek.
Paul Pierce
Pau Gasol
Vince Carter
Shawn Marion
Emeka Okafor
Pierce/Marion (backup SF, probably lean more toward Marion) followed by Gasol

Didn't watch the Finals, did you?
Pau Gasol, hands down...provided we didn't blow up the team to get him.
I still want Frye unless someone really stands out during summer league.
Best cast for Marion's availability is if Dallas signs a high priced free agent like Melo, or even Deng depending on what Dirk takes, and is left with only the room exception and the vet minimum to sign Marion, Carter, and Harris.
I like Pau for full MLE if spurs can sell him on the Longview, eg being the Duncan successor. Pau would have to understand he would be coming off the bench this season, but boy would that be as close to a seamless transition as one good hope for after Duncan retires. Pau should understand though that bc pop manages minutes he should still expect a lot of minutes despite coming off the bench. The defensive reality is that Duncan and Pau cant start together.
More realistically, I like Marion.
Would much rather have Pau's brother Marc if I had to make a choice.
What roster spots are up for grabs ?
Mills and Boris
James, Daye, and perhaps Bonner.
So the question is really Cap Space + Boris or Boris + Patty + MLE. You have to choose what you think you can get more out of.
Marion has said he wants to retire in Dallas.
If Pierce goes anywhere it will be to the Clippers who still have no decent SF options and Doc as a coach.
Gasol is a poor man's Duncan at this point.
Carter is a quitting pussy.
Okafor is done.
I'd rather resign Boris and Patty and concentrate on young talent. The Spurs have enough veterans.
agree on every body except gasol.
He was playing on a tanking team and for a coach who don't use him properly.
It's like judging boris on his last bobcat season and say he was done.
Anyway, i don't think that the spurs have enougth to offer to him, especialy if they want to keep boris and mills and since Ducan have take his option for 2014-2015.
Gasol and Pierce are perfect for the Spurs. It's one think to add a some past prime role players, another different to add HOF-ers that are still good.
Considering the minutes available to any newcomer, the latter.
Full MLE for Pau is doable. Knicks are banking on him taking LESS than that in order to pair him with Melo since the Knicks appear limited to the taxpayers MLE. Not sure Pau wants to play with another diva in another big market where he will continue to be shat on by media and fans on a daily basis, oh and for 3.2m a year.
If Pau is willing to come off the bench, the full MLE, opportunity to play for Pop, and the champs sounds like a sweet deal.
A true backup for Kawhi.
I'm not sure what numbers you're using, but if I look at Sham's numbers and assume a 63M cap, I don't see how the Spurs can sign Diaw and have anywhere near 8M in cap space remaining. I'd say it's cap space, Boris + MLE, or Boris + Patty + MLE.
I guess with them extending the QO to Baynes it looks like they are going for the latter option..?
Mike Miller would be a nice vet to add for the bench.
I don't want any of the guys in the poll. I want Kyle Lowry.
He was on NBATV in studio during the second round talking about how great it would be to play for an organization like the Spurs. And if we lose Patty Mills he would be an excellent replacement.
