Yeah thats pretty lame, this is where Im different from most Laker fans. I know he demanded a trade, im not sure why all Laker fans r denying it on forums

Kobe never personally forced the trade, however Kobe at the time was still eligable for NCAA and if he was drafted by a ty team he would have decided to stay in college and the team that drafted him would lose their draft rights to him. That was dangled over the heads of ty teams by his "advisor", Kobe never signed an agent at the time, so he was still eligable for NCAA. His then "advisor" (now his agent) was good friends with Jerry West. I believe they orchistrated this whole thing before hand.

That's an interesting theory. I remember hearing the same thing when Kurt Rambis had some clout. It goes back to my original point about dropping a name though. It becomes superficial otherwise.

Dude, Bob Bass landed Frank Brickowski for Thompson, who was ing horrible in his stint in San Antonio. I'm still mad as Brickowski got traded for that fat piece of Pressey a few years later, cause Brick was an excellent backup to DRob.
