Bosh to Houston is a good thing. B/c teams will want Parson in a deal for Linn. No way is a team going to pay Linn 15mil this year and not get an extra incentive to do so.

Parson was the Rockets best player against the Blazers. Funny thing, Linn was the Rockets 3rd best player that series. Bosh, Howard, ?, Harden, ?. The Rockets are just screwing themselves royally with this deal. Nearly 20 mil for a 16 and 6 guy who's defense is marginal and got outplayed by Diaw in the Finals this year.

Pretty sure HOU can only offer him 4yr/86mil. Which is still more than what Riley is willing to offer IMO. He'd be pretty silly to turn that down regardless of what LeBron does.

It would suck as it would instantly elevate HOU into the OKC/SA tier tbh.
Nah, it would bump them over the Clippers but their awful coaching, lack of depth, and dependency on FTs would be hard to ignore. Just as bad of a match-up nightmare as Meth for the Spurs, but not in the same tier in terms of a shot at the le.

If Bosh goes to Houston, Pau to OKC, Melo stays in NYC and Bron not going to Chicago or Cleveland (lets assume this team would be good), the East officially becomes the new NBDL.

Just saying, if Bosh goes to Houston, then do not be surprised if Melo and James go to Miami. Riley is a shrewd man and will make it happen IMHO.
I would not be surprised if Riley did not encourage Bosh to leave Miami tbqh.

    1) Rockets can keep Parsons and still land Bosh. They have Parsons' bird rights and can go over the cap to sign him.

    2) The addition of Bosh would have a noticeable impact. He's a great defender when you're not putting him at center and forcing him to be your primary rim protector/post defender. Then obviously on offense he's become a legitimate 3-point shooter and one of the best spot-up shooters in the league.

I mean I'm not saying Bosh guarantees Houston wins it all next year...but it certainly makes them more threatening. I don't see how anyone could disagree.

I don't think anyone is saying he doesn't fit well or doesn't help Houston. I think anyone with a brain realizes he isn't worth $100 Million Dollars though.

Bosh definitely helps Houston. But it's still a long way from a good defensive team even with him.

They do, but no team is going to take Linn w/o Parson. And I hardly think Parson wants to go back after seeing himself get kicked to the curb for Melo. And the Rockets screwed it up even worse by posing Melo in Linn's jersey.

I see a 3 team deal involving Miami, Rockets and ? that sends Bosh to Houston, Linn to Miami (they need a PG) and Parson to the Mavs or some other team that have the player(s) to make this work.

That is why the Spurs get players to sign for less. Its b/c they don't back stab players and throw them under the bus. They are candid and forthcoming with their players.

Spurs are probably looking to see what Gasol does. If he signs, they wil ship Aryes out to have a roster slot available for Bonner at the Vet min. IF Gasol doesn't sign, the Spurs might just sign Bonner and keep Ayres. I believe Bonner will be back. But Aryes is probably the odd man out.

Why? I'm pretty sure all they'd have to do is dump Lin off somewhere (76ers already expressed interest btw). Right now Parsons' cap hold is under $3 million...he's not affecting their ability to sign Bosh as long as he doesn't go off and sign an offer sheet from another team which would affect his cap hold. They have his bird rights and the Rockets FO has explicitly stated they'd go into the luxury tax to put together a contending team.

I'm admittedly not extremely knowledgeable about the CBA, but I've read several reliable sources that say the Rockets could get Bosh and still keep Parsons. If Parsons went ahead and signed an offer sheet from another team like Dallas, however, things would change greatly.

I can see a scenario where the Heat get better if Bosh leaves and LeBron stays.... If instead of giving Bosh 16-20 mil, they spread that out between Ariza, McRoberts, Udoh, and Aminu... none of them stars, but all effective role players-- instant depth.

It would be fantastic if HOU signed Bosh to the Max, then their deal to trade Lin falls through. All the other GMs refuse to trade for Lin forcing them to lose Parsons. They deserve it putting all those poison pills in those offer sheets.

I agree. But come April/May, no one will be talking about contracts. Instead we'll be worrying about a Beverley/Harden/Parsons/Bosh/Dwight lineup. I don't know about you, but that's pretty scary.

That being said, I have doubts about their abilities to put together a half-decent bench with so much money tied up for the starters. And let's not forget they're still being coached by McHale.

Basically, I'd prefer if Houston doesn't get Bosh. That's what I'm getting at.

Is an inflated post count the only thing you care about? This isn't even a take. Just a stream of consciousness. On what planet would Riley "encourage Bosh to leave Miami?"
