Wait a second...did this guy on ESPN just say that the Cavs are now favored in Vegas ahead of the Spurs to win the le? Whaaaat?
The lines are set by the number of bettors. The hysterical money is calling their bookies now.

If the Rockets get Bosh and Parsons, they'll be doomed financially for at least 3 years. Zero bench.

The Spurs' Foreign Legion will demolish their bench.

Best news, b/c Parson to Mavs would have put them close to OKC level in the compe ion bracket with the Spurs.

Except one thing Morey has been good at is his picking of minimum contract talent. He's been really good at it. Much better than first round picks.

So if Bosh signs with Houston and Houston matches Parsons, then they'll have more than $70 MM (Not sure what Bosh's first year number is, just that it's $88MM over 4 years) tied up on 4 players. So they're going to sign 9 players (at least) with the remaining $5-$7MM or pay the tax?

If Houston gives Bosh the max and keeps Parsons, their top 4 players will make 73M next season. Those 4 plus a bunch of minimum contract players.

Houston can win the offseason for the third straight season. Meanwhile, they've won one playoff series in 17 years.

And so much for Phil's fantasy of bringing LeBron to the Knicks. I doubt PJ makes it even halfway through that 5 year deal before he takes a buyout and heads back to LA.

Actually Bosh will be their best player. He has been very underrated. Howard is not mentally tough; Harden and Parsons are one-way players and Parsons doesn't deserve even 2/3rds of the money he has been promised if you ask me.

But Bosh will make them a contender. His key is his P&R & help defense in a P&R league. Houston's defense will be far better plus he will spread the floor and hit mid-rangers and occasional three pointers. Interestingly, Houston did not have a mid range shooter last season.

But even if one of Harden, Howard, Bosh is injured for even a bit in the playoffs, they will be toast. (Unless Morey does a Buford and gets some surprise FAs for the minimum).

That's certainly a big issue, but there's also the 82-game load that the top-4 players will have to carry...can these 4-guys really get through that unscathed and be primed for the playoffs?

Bosh was made accountable for his defense because of Spo' and Lebron, he had to push himself. In Houston he will be allowed to slack off and chill which is what he wants to do while collecting checks.
