Seriously Pau though. Enjoy losing in the first round cause Rose is hurt and Thibs can't squeeze 90pts out of a team.

Please don't.
No surprise there.
Most of us were expecting it and posted such days ago.
Next.
Spare him not.
And you believed that? If the money were exactly the same, he might have been leaning toward the Spurs. But he's not going to give up more money AND a starting job for the Spurs. Who do you think he is, Ray Allen? Mike Miller? Danny Granger?
Nah man stay classy![]()
It's silly if he's ringchasing anyway (he has rings already, I don't know his motivation for picking a team right now post-Lakers exactly). I mean, putting the Spurs aside, OKC would've been a better move than Chicago. Yeah, yeah, I get the whole "The West is a compe ive mess!" which means the East is more up in the air, but that whole West being a compe ive mess also means that if you've got any brain cells to rub together you're probably going to choose whoever comes out of the West as the favorite.
Especially with the age of the Miami Heat over now. The East has gotten more spread out compe ive but less skilled at the top if you get what I'm trying to say. Melo's staying in New York and I doubt Cleveland gets K-Love, I really don't see an Eastern team as deadly to the West as the Miami Heat were at their peak. So yeah, the East may be more open, but that consequently means that most likely all you're competing for in the east is the Eastern Conference Championship and a six game loss in the Finals.
I mean, yeah the Bulls are nice, the Heat are okay, the Pacers might be okay, and the Cavs have LeBron now (consider how long it'll take for everything to come together for them), etc., etc., but does anyone really feel like any of those teams could beat the Spurs, OKC, or even teams like the Warriors, the Rockets, or Clippers in a seven game series? I sure as don't think so. If you're ringchasing the whole concept of avoiding the West because it's more crowded and compe ive doesn't necessarily hold true. I get that it makes the path to the Finals conveniently smoother but so what, the power structure right now makes it so you're the equivalent of those Jason Kidd New Jersey Nets in the 2000s. You made it to the Finals, big whoop, time to get destroyed. The Miami Heat superteam at their peak were the ones who could actually deal severe body blows to elite Western teams in a Finals situation.
Basically Pau's going ing nowhere.
Typical free agent taking money over winning. Have fun with that 1st round exit.
Honestly, the only reason why Pau would prefer playing for the Bulls is due to their money and the star-focus he'll receive. If that's the case, he would have never been a good Spur to begin with.
at least you're allowed on sports forums. I assume you read the internets on a portable device, while also doing your duty in the kitchen?
can't wait until Wiggins dunks on gasol in game 4, when Cleveland eliminates Chicago
Lol. Says he won't make excuses or blame his source, then follows up with an excuse that blames his source.
You've already decided Pau.
How did that got Tspence get bolded for making up and I still never have?![]()
If all of this is true, while it will help CHI on the court (especially if they are willing to bring over Mirotic) lol giving up picks supposedly. We will see if it was worth it. Gasol has his money, Lakers get their picks.
If this goes down and CHI gives up their pick(s) and the doesn't use their MLE, it will be incredibly dumb. Now, both LA (not that it matters) and CHI are hard capped at 81M for the year as well.
Those sandwiches won't make themselves.![]()
Pau is 34. This is his last significant contract. Can't fault him for taking the money AND a guaranteed starting position tbh. Any FA not at the tail end of their career would do the same.
Awwww, cmon tspence i am disappoint
thread's value is now gone
He's also got rings. It might be different if he thought he had something to prove.
"Pau Gasol will 100% be a Spur" - Tspence26, yesterday.
It could be Pau wants to help Lakers while leaving
Tspence just went from savior of spurstalk to typical got bandwagon laker/cowboy/Yankee fan with this development
Also: Lakers, Yankees, and Cowboys, TSpence26? Do you have any pride?
