Pawel Kuczynski, a Polish artist has worked in satirical illustration specialising in thought-provoking images that make his audience question their everyday lives. His subjects deal with everything from poverty to social media and politics. All of them have a very distinct message if you look closely enough…
Here are a few examples
I don't quite understand these ones
![]()
The one with the painter is dealing with the divide between Democrats (blue) and Republicans (red).
The one with the windmill person is talking about how the majority should be able to tell the ruler what to do. Not vice versa.
The one with the clock is a satire on Poe.
The one with the presents is contrasting Christianity with Communism.
Imo:
2. New leader same as the old leader
4. Santa Claus = Chinese
wrong er...too late

resourceful kid
2.- People tearing down one dictator and replacing him with another one.
3.- Time digging your grave.
Sacrificing freedom for a bit of instant comfort?
Don't get the blue paint, but 4 could be about toys being from china and not santa claus?
That's the obvious assumption, but I'm going with the idea that if he's smart enough to start a fire with a saw that he's already on the other side of the wall.
Hmm interesting.
I agree with
- New ruler, same as the old ruler
- Toys/Santa Claus are really from China
Grave: Time is your grave OR time un-earths the past?
Paint: Is tough
The blue paint reminds me of when they were building Cowboys Stadium and that construction worker that died was barely a blip on the news radar
well...if you're not buying the Dems vs. Repub...it could be about the lack of importance we place on human life
The people are staring at the spilled blue paint and the guy going to use the paint is dead.
They see the spilled paint as of interest, and miss the guy actually putting use to the paint is... murdered?
Missing the bigger picture.
Dont see the colors as significant.
how about this:
"The colors are those used in the flag of the United States of America; White signifies purity and innocence, Red, hardiness & valour, and Blue, the color of the Chief.
This is certainly a commentary on how citizens overthrow a dictator and a new tyrant takes his place. The broken nature of the system, etc.
Reading too much into it, IMO. They're saying he's shooting himself in the foot to be temporarily happy.
The system is in place, repeat process... New dictator rises.
Yah, I get that. I just prefer my angle more.
Probably drugs related imo.
YEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!
I don't understand this one

Looks like a classic to me tbh.
These are awesome. Nice find.
people are often consumed by the aesthetics in life rather than the human element and sacrifice required to shape those aesthetics
