there is a reason why this show is on during the slowest time for sports.
That awards show has, is, and will always be lame and unnecessary since sports leagues already recognize their teams success with tangible assets called championship trophies, rings, and banners.
Unlike the arts - music, TV, and film - which have no way of showing appreciation for their efforts aside from earnings of the product.
It would please be greatly if hardly any Spurs player or coach shows up.

Tim will probably wear one of those tuxedo tshirts, tbh. , I wouldn't be surprised if him and Pop didn't even go. Maybe even Kawhi, he'll be all like "I'm too busy lifting weight and training for this ."

. . . that the individual stars nominated for ESPYs are seated closer to the stage (needing fewer of those precious seats) and the team nominees like the Spurs (who may consist of large groups needing more space) are seated slightly behind. That way a larger percentage of the actual nominees in a larger number of categories can be seated closer to the stage.

I'll start looking for an online stream of a WNBA game before I watch that ing dreck. It's bad enough I have no choice other than ESPN to follow sports. Last thing I want is a celebration of what they think is important.

True enough, but it is just entertainment and sure beats the reality shows on today IMHO.
The sole reason I am interested this year is because of the Spurs.
That's hard. After the season ended I've tried really hard to appreciate WNBA, I couldn't last a minute tbh,
