how did you mod your box, and can you play online
using an ODDE... the k3y one... not sure about current compatibility with newer xboxes...

don't personally play online... I heard it works fine though, but don't take my word for it.

I heard if you install and play games before release you might get the ban hammer, but like I said, I don't ever had an online subscription, nor plan to have one, so I dunno.

Never play a game online before it's release on 360. They will permanently ban you if they find out, and from experience it's not hard to get caught.

Friend of mine stole one from his job as a stocker and tried to go online with it a few days early. Got banned and his appeal went on deaf ears.

Fallout NV: 6/10. typical sequel: more eye candy, less heart, less story. but it fell only a short distance from great heights. they still put more thought/effort into NV than what goes into your average CoD sequel.

XCOM: Enemy Within: disappointing/10. the new maps and "Meld" and "EXALT" are nice and all, but they didn't really address any of the problems I had with the gameplay. and XCOM was only a few fixes away from 10/10 IMO. enemy spawning needed to end, should be fixed enemy movements prior to encounter, they should be moving around just as you are prior to encounter, none of that free move after being spotted crap. needed more battlefield vision options. needed ways for the player to try to force panic reduction in specific countries... oh well, I'm addicted to it anyways

    Beyond Two Souls 7/10

Great graphics, gameplay was abit lacking but good overall. Not as good as Heavy Rain.

I like what Quantic Dream is doing. They should keep it up.

    Wolf Among Us - Episode 1: 7/10

Same mold as The Walking Dead game from the same company, which I really liked, but this episode felt too short.
Thought about buying the first episode but thought best of it.

I'll wait for the whole season pass deal.

Waiting 4+ months for each episode to come out is outrageous.

    Infamous 2 - 6.5/10

Hard to just judge this one completely on its own merits since the first one was literally the first thing I ever played on the PS3. The city feels a lot more alive and varied in this one. Empire City seemed like 7 or 8 landmarks with the same handful of buildings endlessly repeated between them. Parts of town are easily distinguishable, just like a real town. Getting around is a little faster in this one and I don't know if it's just that that did it but the city feels much smaller this time around too. The storyline is expanded this time as the choices you make actually translate into some notable differences in abilities and plot related missions, but even that isn't necessarily for the better. The endings are satisfying but nothing in this one hit as hard as the big moments in the first game. There's a mission editor that looks pretty deep from what I could tell but that wasn't anything that I really felt like messing with. I'm sure it was a big bonus for some gamers out there but it's one of those things where I look at it and wonder what problems they could have fixed in the final product if they had just left that thing out altogether. The big step back was in difficulty. Even on the hardest setting I felt like I never broke a sweat. Making the player feel like a god among insects is all well and good (and really kind of the whole point of the game) but that means they really need to step it up with the boss battles and those were mostly snoozers in my book.

    Good games. I platted both.

I hear you on the difficulty. Although to be fair, both games felt the same on the "Hardest" difficulty. It just felt easier because of the powers you get. In my opinion they were too powerful. A little nerfing would help balance that.

    Uncharted 3 - 7.5/10.

A lot more of the same, which isn't a bad thing for the most part. Better than some sequels that attempt to fix what wasn't broken so they can tout new features. Quality voice acting, killer score, very cinematic presentation all the way around. Plenty of humor, but some quieter more serious moments to boot that really worked. Plotting is still not its strong suit. It's essentially a playable action blockbuster at heart, so getting shuffled from one big set piece to the next is to be expected but there comes a point where it feels a little padded out and bogs down what narrative there is.

The biggest knock remains on the difficulty. It seems silly saying anything about it after acknowledging that it's an interactive action movie. They WANT you to see it through to the end. You can ramp up the difficulty of the gun and fist fights but puzzle and platforming elements are far too willing to hold the player's hand. I don't really blame the developers on the puzzle part. Why go through the trouble of even trying to stump the player when they'll look up a playthrough video on their phone after 20 seconds of thinking? Still the in games hints come way too quickly and spell things out too clearly. If you're going to put the player in the shoes of a guy who is equal parts scholar and man of action then making them work through the action parts while ushering them through the scholarly ones only separates them from the guy they are supposed to feel like. And I say this as a guy who has never liked platformers, but those segments have always been the part of the series that could use some beefed up challenge. There's something wrong when dangling off a cliff elicits no rush of danger or adrenaline.

Just finished Saints Row IV. Going completely off-the-rails bonkers with the last two installments was the best decision the franchise ever made. The enemies and missions get repe ive, and there's nothing in the gameplay or presentation that's particularly innovative, but it's one of the most purely fun games I've played in a while.

Sain't Row the third was the most fun I've had playing a game in a while. Cant wait for the 4th one to be offered free over PSN.

    DmC: Devil May Cry 7/10

Story was dog but I like the game mechanics, you can pull off some sick chain combos that lasts forever.

The story+boss fights were among the most boring aspects of the game.

Game also has like 6 different difficulty levels. Ridiculous.

Played Deus Ex: HR: directors cut - 5/10. and I change my rating of Deus Ex: HR to 6/10

while I still immensely appreciate that it went for story, the "choices" were always so simple and meaningless...
choose vent or wall or heavy box, choose hacking or look to your left for the personal secretary with the passcode, choose stealth or shoot 'em up, choose kill or incapacitate... IT DOESN'T ING MATTER!!
the limited selection of upgrades are ridiculous considering what would be available with the proposed technology, and even then, the ones you choose are meaningless...
and the 3 choices at the end are equally meaningless. none are what the actual hero would do...

after a second play through, it's really not any better than Deus Ex Invisible War IMO

    BF4 post netcode fixes

8/10 - It's no Bad Company 2, but still fun as when you get a competent squad. After the initial ass raping you'll get while you get used to the controls, muscle memory kicks in and killing becomes much easier. Great to play while high as .
