The thing is they are so deep into tradition and "the old ways", they can't figure out times have changed and all that primitive no longer works.
At the last Olympics there was a good female sprinter out of one of those counties (Iran?), so there she is trying to run dressed in all that garb. Looked totally stupid. It's silly like that that they just don't get.

1) California - homer pick. you can get whatever you want here tbh. Good weather all around, and there are snow/ski resorts in both NorCal and Socal. Mostly very liberal, but Orange County is somewhere conservatives can find a haven. great universities... Stanford, Berkley, UCLA, USC, CalTech
2) Texas - also has good balance like CA... good weather. largely conservative, but has its own liberal areas for those who want that, big cities/college station.
3) Nevada, because why not
4) Colorado. probably for different reasons than most, i couldn't care less about recreational weed
5) Wyoming/South Dakota/Idaho... when i retire i want to be somewhere without noise/controversy/heavy politics, or high cost of living
