giving a max to GH was pure genius tbh.
make no mistake, Jordan does most of the decision making in Charlotte.
His willingness to pay Hayward a max has paved the way for overrated players ( Bledsoe, Parsons to a lesser extent, Lance before he got his deal, etc)... to think that they deserve a max. It's amazing how one dumb owner can ruin the market for everyone...
He's ruining the market unless you have a player that actually deserves the max, in which case he's making their deal proportionately more advantageous.
Forcing Utah to overpay for their beloved white boy was a smart move tbh. It was win win, if he'd been stuck paying Hayward a max deal that still would've made the hornets probably a top 4 team in the east as long as big al is healthy.
