It seems like Hamas is disjointed in its claims on why the 72 hour ceasefire broke down, other than to blame Israel for firing first. As someone who only follows the news it seems likely Israel found a tunnel where militants were currently residing OR militants knew which tunnel Israel was about to decommission and moved to that location. A suicide bomber blew himself up and killed 2 soldiers. One soldier was likely taken captive and either was already dead when captured, executed to allow militants ease in travel during bombardment, or was killed by his own country's bombardment. Hamas claims that either the first or last of those possibilities occurred clearly to absolve themselves of any culpability in executing a prisoner of war. I doubt they know what happened and that's why their comments aren't necessarily consistent. Also that's why we haven't heard more on it...other than "Israel fired first".

I can't find anything either. There are a number of leaders outside Gaza but we get no insight.
