Griner proposed to Johnson and both posted it on social media, with Griner showing a photo of her on one knee with a ring in her hand in front of Johnson on her Instagram account. Griner plays for the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and Johnson for the Tulsa Shock.
In the post, Griner wrote: "Last Night was a Night to Remember(,) I became the happiest person on this earth! (almost pass out but when that one word came out I came back to life) Me and my baby (@)missvol25 are in it for Life!"
Johnson also had a photo on her Instagram account of Griner lying in bed with an engagement ring resting on her shoulder.
Griner has embraced her role as a prominent gay athlete since finishing a record-breaking career at Baylor. She came out last year and wrote a candid memoir, "In My Skin," that was critical of college coach Kim Mulkey.

Why are human beings more comfortable with two carpet munchers being together than two pillow biters? I've never understood especially with how much being openly gay is so trendy right now. Also, why do we say "openly" gay? We don't say openly straight.
I think making a federal case over gayness does more harm than good. It's like the media treats gay people like they are on display at a zoo. People are like "hey look everyone, a man just proposed to his man".
If being gay is going to be normal, we have to stop this. Every time I beat off to Asian chicks, I'm not like "hey look everyone, I just beat off to Asian chicks".

great minds think similar imho. Sex is lame and it doesn't make no difference whether it is done between two opposite sex or the same sex. Things that are considered normal are those practiced by most people, in that sense being straight is normal while everything else is not (including celibacy). No one is gonna say or agree being gay is "normal" because the majority will always be straight people, but it doesn't mean we should be deprived of the rights to choose what style of life we want to live, pertaining to sex and everything. We don't practice no sex at all, so people who the opposite sex think they have the right to deride us, treating us & sexuals as a peculiar whole just because we refuse to the opposite sex. I think it's time to put an end to that prejudice tbh, and to let people know that it is not anyone else's but our own business to choose what to , or whether to at all.
