Vandy
Ole Miss rolling up to the Bammer game 4-0
DMX, all up on that SEC like...
Judging the SEC by Vandy is tantamount to judging the big XII by Kansas.
Lol trying to distance yourselves from Vandy yet still chanting SEC every opportunity.
Vandy is a world class academic ins ution. I am glad they are apart of the SEC.
Yeah, their football program is not very good. As to be expected from a school with something like 6,000 undergrad students.
What's so funny? They won.
Are you kidding? SECfan used to brag about the entire conference dominating on defense when they look just as bad as any other conference.
Alabama got lucky that WVU dropped so many wide open passes. Maybe it was the incredible SEC defense that made them get scared and drop said passes.
Lets not forget that #9 ranked South Carolina defense couldn't stop a nosebleed SEC defense doe
that game doesn't count because they went against one of their own!
Actually that's a big 12 style offense pummeling a SEC defense.
The 2 best defenses in the SEC belong to Mississippi State and Mississippi.
Well LSU had a rough start defensively but dominated the 2nd half. I was at the game. Once LSU shut down Wisconsin's running game, the Badgers were done.
SEC's defenses aren't as dominate anymore. That's a known fact. But I would still take their defenses over any other conferences for now.
But again your biases are in effect here. You're almost as bad as Vito.
Not convinced till they play better teams. I wouldn't be surprised if my South Alabama Jags put up close to 30 against MSU in two weeks. MSU never plays anyone outside of conference and when they play a good team, they get hammered. Overrated program.
Ole Miss has talent for sure, but Georgia has a better defense right now.
Tebow and Cam dominated SEC defenses before Aggy joined.
In that order??
I wish I had known you were going to the game. Some friends and I road tripped to Houston for it. Did you go to the pre-game tailgate in the NRG Center? When it was 24-7, I must admit that I thought it was over. I just didn't see anything to make me believe that our offense could produce enough points for a comeback. Thankfully the team showed a lot of grit, and the coaches finally figured out that if you don't let Wisconsin run the ball up the middle, they can't do otherwise. It's looking like another 9-3 season, maybe even 8-4.
I know it's not a coincidence SEC defense on the whole turned to when Aggy joined. But to be fair, didn't Chris Leak also dominate SEC defenses?
Actually he didn't. Florida's offense wasn't that good when they won the le in 2006. They had a very dominant defense but won alot of close games. The only game their offense blew up was in the le game against Ohio State.
Back to SEC Defenses, only a handful of teams had elite talent on defense before A&M arrived. Bama, Georgia, South Carolina, Florida, and LSU. Bama had trouble against A&M, but LSU's defense made A&M and any other spread offenses their es in recent history.
