Leonard's interview (his influences growing up, the Spurs, his game...)
That is some funny ing right there.
Carmelo????![]()
Kawhi was hilarious in that wongified segment
Nice video. Interesting that Kawhi said his favorite players growing up were MJ, Iverson and Carmelo.
I used to be an Iverson fan back in the day up until about 2003 or so. I liked his toughness and also that he played with heart. After around 2003, 2004 though, it seemed like he was going off the rails a bit - refusing to come in off the bench when coming back from injury, being selfish in general, stuff like that, so I didn't follow him much after that.
His array of offensive moves are impressive. I'm sure that's what Kawhi, who plays a similar hybrid SF/PF game, was impressed by.
Carmelo is an awesome offensive player. He's one of the most complete offensive SFs in the NBA. I'm not surprised by that pick at all from Kawhi.
His defense, leadership and overall team game aren't great, but offensively, he has a lot of moves in his arsenal. He's got a pretty wide repertoire - He can shoot from the outside and can also go inside, he has a pretty good, almost complete game on the offensive side of the ball. If you're a young SF looking to learn stuff on the offensive side of the ball, Carmelo is someone you can take a few things from.
