In a perfect world for me, Kobe averages 25, 5, and 5 throughout the regular season and looks like the old kobe to an extent, the lakers somehow sneak into the playoffs and match up with the spurs, and we sweep them while kobe plays like complete dog cuz of leonard.

He should've retired after the Achiles, tbh... He's just hurting whatever legacy he had at this point... Same with Nash
I disagree completely. Who would want to go out on that note, even if he he stayed to hit the FT's? If he can still play at a high level (TBD) why would he leave now? I prefer you play until you feel you cannot then the false retirement of other icons like Magic and Jordan. Again remember El, many were thinking duncan's best days were long gone and though far from prime Duncan, he has had backtoback strong seasons.

If he looks like last year's Kobe (before he got hurt) all season, then I would say this season should be his las,t extension or not. But if he is "close" to what he was two years ago. that is still a highly effective player.

    The pride before the fall.

Lakers will win fewer than 40 games and will miss the playoffs. If you're depending on Achilles, a 41-year-old (!) Nash, Lin, Swaggy P, and Carlos Boozer, it's going to be a long season.

At least my SUNS get your first-round sure to be lottery draft pick. Oops! Oh me, oh my.
You should hope we do make playoffs or get close (40+ wins) pick is top 7 protected ...

    You are probably right ...
Did you see Zack Lowe's article about them tweaking the lottery so teams at the end of it have a better shot?
Lol if it works i our favor the conspiracy nuts will be talking mad ...

At this point the draft looks weak and this last one will prove to be overrated.

Lakers first scrimmage 5 on 5. Kobe looks good out there and has picked up some of Hakeem's moves posting up.

Clarkson is the real deal. This guys is the steal of the draft. He's far more ready than Randle. If he gets PT which is likely with Nash condition, he's going to make All Rookie Team.

I agree Clarkson has a calm to him, but I doubt he contributes much early on unless our season hits the " ter".
It took Randle a while to get going in the NCAA he had a couple really good games early (non-conference) but when SEc play started he struggled (relative) until mid-year I expect similar growth pattern in NBA. This is not high-school. I dont think he will "bust" but he is no savior either. dude has little confidence in his jumper during games. I know because I had the same issue in HS at times. He can play in games drive, board even defend a little ...but no confidence in his jumper even though he hits 'em in practice. . He also doesnt go to the low block enough for a guy as strong as he is. he plays a lot of high and mid post so he can drive ....he has a great drive game but needs to polish that post-game-up.

Manoshevitz, it'd be swell to stack 17 onto 16, 6 onto 5, Kobe over the tired old bag Theodore. Herself would mostly likely call the EC back from their NAMBLA duties & my goose would be cooked in short order.

    I'm willin' though.

She left him, daddy-O. Walked out, tired of Theodore's gayness. Tired of washing his pillow cases, ripped to shreds cause Teddy was bitin' 'em.
