They do still have ESPN LA who has to report on something, and we know CP0 and Flake Griffith aren't newsworthy. Now with Cleveland stepping up, they either have to have a "Cavs index" or find some reality TV level bull story to follow in LA.

Frankly, the only thing about the Abbott piece that's somewhat unfair, is the fact he ran Dwight outta LA... Dwight is a loser, and in that sense, Kirby did right for the franchise, IMO.

That's actually one of the best thing that could've happened for L.A. Im willing to bet if the Lakers retained Dwight, there's no way in Kobe would get $48.5. After losing DH, Buss panicked and practically gave Kobe an amount he couldn't refuse. Dwight leaving the Lakers was one of the most fatal blow this past 3 yrs.
