Mark Cuban was interviewed on one of the Dallas TV stations last night ... I think WFAA ... and said he doesn't want to see the NBA all-star game played in Dallas. His rationale? Basically that since the NBA only allots the hosting team 2000 season tickets, it would be unfair to the 12000 other Dallas season ticket holders to hold the event here.
So, what, Mark, it's more fair to make your ST holders travel out of town if they want to attend any of the All-Star events? Not to mention all the other things that make up part of All-Star week? That is pretty f-ed up, even for Cubes.
Duh.. it's not part of the regular season mr Rodman's bed buddy.
That's exactly the rationale for the Pistons never hosting an All-Star Game. All the other tickets are allocated to sponsors, celebrities, and the athletes. It's ridiculous that the only forum to watch the All-Star Game as a fan is on the television.
It'd be interesting to see the final economic impact on the city of Houston, but I think I can side with Mark on this call.
