When was that last Notre Dame national championship? I think college football has done just fine since then.....
The game is Alabama vs Oregon, that would be the best possible scenario.....the south vs the west coast.
no ND doesn't belong I just know and am seeing enought..tv college football guys....saying what I am. A lot had ND in their first top 4. Look at TCU, MSU, they pale in comparison to the Fighting Irish....with the media. Who can talk TCU/MSU football?

If ND was ranked number one and looking great you'd see what I mean. The media would be freaking out over the Fighting Irish/Touchdown Jesus/The Golden Dome/The Four Horsemen/Win one for the Gipper/Knute Rockne/Rocket Ismail/Joe Montana/ "The Golden Boy" Paul Hornung.......the media gobbles that stuff up, they love it.

The only thing I disagree with you is the fact that you compared them to the Dallas Cowboys. That is two totally different worlds imo. The average NFL fan (I'm talking Buccaneer fans, Jets fans, Patriot fans, Chargers fans, Raiders fans...etc.) keeps up with the Cowboys. No matter who their favorite team is playing...they keep up with the Cowboys game. I know I'm keeping up with the Cowboys score....
I don't think the average college football fan cares who ND is playing for 80% of the year. The only two games that matter are the FSU and USC games this year.
Again, I'm not keeping up with the majority of Notre Dame's games.
I hope they go back to the computer programmers too.....they are known to have "a little SEC bias". All mathematical formulas and computer algorithms favor the SEC.
