Pop won't play Tony in the regular season if the doctors didn't clear him out to play... I mean, heck, this is a guy that rested Kawhi after all the X-Ray/MRI came back negative...

If he's really hurting, he should sit down. We're in freaking December...

Doctors have said he could play through the injury as long as Tony can handle the pain.
Where did you read this, tbh? Just wondering, haven't hear anything about Tony lately...

Parker is out for tonight's game.

I think Parker tries to play when he shouldn't, and it never goes well when he does that.

I'm assuming that Pop knew he wouldn't be able to go both tonight and tomorrow night and so chose to keep him for the Memphis game.

Did Parker get injured last game or was he hurt before last game? Couldn't be before last game because spurs don't play injured players. Or maybe it happened in practice.

it has been said, the injury is just painful, it is a matter of being able to take the pain or not. You don't take risk to further injure it by playing. So it's not a severe injury but it still hurts like

The Spurs are 13-4 in their last 17 without Parker, he doesn't have to play, at all..Pop sat him out for weeks last year because of an injury/rest..if you believe Pop would allow Parker to play if he had a serious injury, then clearly you haven't been following the Spurs, at all(which wouldn't be surprising, since you doubt them every year)..
I'll take this comment with a grain of salt since you've comeback after a 4-year hiatus and casual observer status.

And you're actually comparing a 16-game NFL season to an 82-game NBA season? Are you serious? I know you overvalue the NBA regular season, since you do it every year(ex. everything you have said about the Spurs and Heat since 2011), but comparing the QB of an NFL team in a 16-game season to Tony Parker's role in December games in an 82 game season is an absolutely terrible argument and makes no sense, at all..

Nobody compared the risk of injury in the NFL to the NBA, btw..that doesn't have anything to do with my point..the only comparison of the NBA vs. NFL that I made was the value of regular season games in a 16-game season vs. 82-game season..

If Parker's ribs were a serious threat for injury, Pop wouldn't be playing him in meaningless December games, only a complete moron would believe otherwise..
Either, you're having a stroke or you have a serious reading comprehension problem.....

Doctors have said he could play through the injury as long as Tony can handle the pain. If he could potentially aggravate the injury, Pop wouldn't allow him to play.
Wins without Tony..... 2015 (v NY, vs, Minn, Philly) 2014 (@ Dallas - Mills 26 points, vs Philly, vs Charlotte, vs. Detroit, @ Portland - Mills 29 points, @LAC - Mills 25 points, @ Boston, vs Milwaukee, @ GS - Big three out - Mills 20 points, @ Phoenix) Mills isn't walking through those doors.

I guess you have to be seriously hurt to be in pain. Is that what your mom said when she gave birth?

On a serious note, I'm not comparing the NBA schedule to the NFL's. You made that comparison all by yourself. I was just replying to your stance that Parker was hurting the team while playing injured. I merely gave an example using Tony Romo doing the same thing for the Cowboys. Those two players have more in common than you think. You can't measure one's compe ive drive and spirit whether he's a help or a detriment to the team. However, in Parker's case, you can't pin any loss solely on him because you're looking to continue pumping your narrative of how dreadful Parker has been for the Spurs the last two seasons. The team as a whole has been very underwhelming so far this season.

Btw, Regular season games do have value. Terrible losses early in a season in jam packed conference race could have a huge impact on seeding. Maybe to fans of team who's been there and done that, regular season games don't take on much meaning. But, players and coaches don't feel this way and Spurs players have alluded to this in the past. OKC fans are probably saying, if only we had back those early season losses to Minny, Brooklyn and Cleveland last year. the seeding and outcome might have been different.

Brandon weeden was the hero in the Redskins game until Romo forced his way back onto the field. They're both back ups, tbh.

How many of those came in the postseason? Tony Romo is great at putting his team behind the 8ball with ill-advised sacks, interception, fumbles, overthrows and underthrows. He blames all his teammates, then, puts on an offensive clinic with an amazing 4th quarter comeback, only to fall just short. Yeah, Romo is Romo's worst enemy.

LOL first a healthy Parker is a detriment to the team. Now an injured Parker is a detriment to the team. All this while Manu is chucking the team out of every game.

Was reading The Last Season book by Phil Jackson. All it took was one hit to Parker by Shaq to change the whole series in 2004. Dude wouldn't dare enter the paint again.

If posters haven't seen through your fake facade, they never will. Even when you're trying to be sincere, You're taking shots at Parker. Remind me again what you said about Ginobili during the 2013 NBA finals?

Well, not quite. Check the team report on Salaries. Tony is being paid 12M this year. Highest on the Spurs, but way short of the 22M that Tim was being paid around the 2011 season, when he was not exactly at his best. The article you reference seems to combine the contracted salary for the next three years, along with all of his other investments.

BTW, just FYI...Parker is nowhere NEAR the highest paid basketball player.

Apparently this was not quite accurate since the report this morning is that Parker aggravated his injury in the game before the Denver game and is now out indefinitely.

I did not see but if it's the case, diagnosis was wrong then...

so much for Parker is a vagina to not play through an injury
