    Hey mister LMAO,

You should know something about stupid with your old tire act on ST.

Maybe if the Mavericks had a clue about drafting they would not have to do the volume of deals they do.

Maybe if they were a little better a selecting young talent in the draft, they would have won a few more les with Dirk instead of the one.
Mavs aren't great at drafting but who is besides SA? Its true SA has done a great job drafting & rebuilding while contending but that's next to impossible to do. Mavs have done well enough with their strategies to be relevant for 10+ straight years. Spurs are in better shape going forward but nothing's guaranteed.

Mavs fans, how was your offense being directed? Did Monta have the ball in his hands all the time in order for it to be effective or did someone else have ball handling duties?

It's a no-brainer trade for the Mavs, they didn't give anything up, and they got a big-name PG, filling a position they desperately needed to fill, tbh..

Rondo is a slightly above average player with fatal flaws, but obviously a colossal upgrade over Jameer Nelson and Fat Felton..still nothing to fear, though, his name has more impact than his actual game(and living off his 1 great playoff run in 2012 where his jump shot was on for the first time in his career)..

Fit or not, the only question is: Is Rondo better than Jameer Nelson? Even though Jameer could shoot better than Rondo he wasn't adding anything. Yes it's not an ideal fit, but Rondo is hands down better than Nelson. As long as Rondo isn't a locker room issue this was a no brainer "gamble". Worst case you S&T him or let him walk next year & your out the 22-26th pick in the draft.
Rondo is NOT a perfect fit in Dallas. I like, dont love Rondo. I dont want him at max and if that is what he is seeking from Dallas to re-sign, God bless him and them.

Carlisle is the 2nd best coach in the NBA. I live in DFw and he is brilliant at maximizing players just look at what he did for Ellis. But Ellis and Rondo is a poor fit.

    1. First if they play together that is a woefully undersized backcourt.
    2. Ellis is most effective off the bounce and in pnr. Rondo is a poor shooter so the spacing will be off. now granted, Dirk's and CParsons shooting mitigates that some ...but spacing still not ideal.
    3. Rondo is a stat padder who holds the ball so he can finish the play with an assist. Is an assist a bad thing? No, but unlike a Jason Kidd who willingly pushed the ball ahead on fast breaks and moved the ball freely Rondo is a Paul or Nash type prober that wants the play to finish off his pass.
    4. Rumors are he was locker-room difficult with Ray Allen and Doc butting heads constantly. If anyone can work that out it's RC and Tyson but it could be an issue.

Last this is not NBA2k not every all-star collection will work out which the Lakers found out the hard way. again, I live in DFW and would love to see it work out but I have my doubts.

all that being said it's not a bad gamble ...but I thought the Mavs were just getting in their groove. I have been enjoying their games hope it works out even if I cannot stand Cuban's overmeddling Im smarter than everyone's ass. I actually liked him even met him but his arrogance is off-putting even if he is the type of drink with the fans type owner ...

Hope it works out Mavfan ...y'all re-staaaaaaaacked!!!!

Mavs fans, how was your offense being directed? Did Monta have the ball in his hands all the time in order for it to be effective or did someone else have ball handling duties?
It's generally been a pretty balanced attack for most of the game, then down the stretch it's Monta handling the ball mostly.

None of the PGs on the team seem to have the patience or ability to deliver a good pass to the post to Dirk, or anyone who has a mismatch. Early in the season, Parsons was constantly trying to post up mismatches, but no one really could get him the ball, so he has pretty much quit posting up. So hopefully this changes with the addition of Rondo. The offense should actually be a bit more efficient considering how little Nelson seemed to bring to the table, which is kinda scary to imagine considering it already has been one of the most efficient offenses in league history. It will be interesting to see how things work out.

Do they have enough time to sneak in? Would be an epic 1st round match up tbh.

IMO, this pickup was not really for the offensive aspect. And anyone who thinks that he is going to come in here and provide massive amounts of firepower, or anyone out there who thinks he is a guy to be scared of, is nuts. He is simply needed to fill some holes and play within a system, and likely won't be any kind of a standout or all-star type player. There are 3 glaring flaws with Dallas, all of which are strengths of Rondo.

    1) defense
    2) long defensive rebounds
    3) proper ball distribution

If he buys into Carlisle's system, he will be a fantastic pickup for the team as a glue guy.

I believe they are already on the fringe of the 8th seed right now.

EDIT: only a 1/2 game behind of N.O. for the 8th seed.

Wow! That was well played Phillip.

I can't stand the Mavies so anything they do I wish for nothing but failure. I live in the Dallas area so I get to hear the propaganda all the time.

    In the end -

    UNO vs CINCO

Seriously, Dallas has a good team they got a little better today.

Ring count only matters when Spurs have the edge tbh ...
The rear is palpable in Houston and San Antonio ... so even if this doesnt work out Phillip, it should be fun.
And despite my disdain for Cubes I love him going all in her ...

Freaking ainge is a ty GM he has lots of picks and did rape Brooklyn but Celts still gonna be just as ty as Lakers with all those assets. Awesome.
