It tests the ability of opposing coachs tbh. many times against a zone, players will just settle for long jump shots because in a zone, the defense is always recovering, so it tempts the offense into shooting long jumpers, and it works well when the offense is not hitting open shots like dallas today. Opposing coaches have to adjust against that during timeouts, which wastes their time and prevents them from adjusting to our offense. win-win tbh when used in limited time to shock an opponent, especially useful against OKC where its a 2 man offense and the coach sucks.
