lmao it's ing pathetic. An NBA team solely relying on a zone/zone help defense to guard another team. I wonder how much Pop will use this.
It tests the ability of opposing coachs tbh. many times against a zone, players will just settle for long jump shots because in a zone, the defense is always recovering, so it tempts the offense into shooting long jumpers, and it works well when the offense is not hitting open shots like dallas today. Opposing coaches have to adjust against that during timeouts, which wastes their time and prevents them from adjusting to our offense. win-win tbh when used in limited time to shock an opponent, especially useful against OKC where its a 2 man offense and the coach sucks. See where it got our scrubs, a 16-2 run after we ran the zone.

Tyson Chandler moves every single ing time he sets a screen. In his 10+ years I'm surprised he hasn't gotten caught mutliple times a game.

If Belinelli and Manu ever play against each other at PG, I'm fairly sure the game would finish 0-0 with 50 turnovers.

If nothing else they're making Dallas sweat and work a little. Probably wont last but it's entertaining in the meantime.

"Rondo can be the best defender in the league if he wants to be."

    You can't make this up.

I know why zones are run. Dallas has the shooters/athletes + Dirk to carve it up. On this level, a zone of any kind shouldn't be as effective.

It's early. They're trying to get acclimated to Rondo imo.
