Did you watch either of his two starts? Did he look like a guy who's been working his tail off to learn his position? Because to me he looked like he had no idea WTF he was doing out there.

Manziel can't afford to screw around. He isn't Brett Favre, who goofed off early in his career but skated by because he had great natural ability. Manziel doesn't have great natural ability, at least not at this level. He's going to have to work his ass off to make it in this league and he's admitted himself he hasn't done that. He'll be out of the league in a very short time if he doesn't put his nose to the grindstone. There's very little margin for error with him.

He looked like . Could be bc he didn't work hard even though there were no reports on it...and I think we both know if there was something like that to be reported while he was the back-up it would've come out. Or it could be bc he's a rookie that just wasn't ready to be thrown into a playoff race.

I wanted him to be thrown in there but he wasn't ready. He looked awful. Hes a dude that could do anything he wanted in college, he needs more than 6 quarters to adjust to the NFL. Who knows maybe he'll never be good enough but regardless 6 quarters isn't a fair amount.

I grew up in the same area his family did. Let's just say the apple doesn't seem to have fallen far from the tree.

why did this become a thread about "jealousy". some of us saw the manziel failure coming from a mile away, and this season has illustrated both his on and off the field issues (though i mainly focus on the on-the-field stuff). sure, like anybody else, he has a chance to get better, but he's just not a great prospect imo, and nothing from what i've seen has changed my opinion.
