Seriously both teams, but I guess I'm hoping the Pats win![]()

What I think is funny about this SB is there was a point in the season where it was.....
The Pats and Brady are done.
No SB winner has ever won a playoff game in the....
Hahahaha!!!!!!!!!!
The game to game silliness we see here is amazing. All these pro team try to do is win their division, there will be peaks and valleys, ebb and flo during a 17 week season. So slow the down.
The two best teams are here.

The fact Seattle plays in that stadium every season and should have more fans there will help. While this deflate/weather in Boston (worried about family) situation can't be good.
I think this Seahawks team is better than the Pats repeat le team if they win it. Both were not all that impressive on offense built around defense but the Hawks have an all-time great defense ...Pats were just the best for a short window of their era.
First time i haven't had even a slight rooting interest in a SB since Eagles-Pats
3 out of 4 years is more impressive than 2 out of 2, in my eyes. Especially since the Pats went back-to-back also.
Well the fact that the Seahawks are still a young team means that if they win on Sunday, they'll still be in contention for the next 3-4 years. So it could really just be a beginning.
With the $$$$ situation we see in todays NFL it's really hard to keep a team togrther for very long. I can't see any team staying on top that long. If they do win on Sunday, seeing them in the serious mix next season, sure, but after that...???
The 2004 Patriots team is the best squad since the 1998 Broncos if not 1994 49ers.
How many Hall of Famers did the Patriots Defense have?
Harrison
Bruschi
McGinist
Wilfork
Also Asante and Seymour. Sure the current Seahawks secondary gets the edge but the Patriots linebackers were better and defensive line much much better. 2nd best defensive line behind the Giants le teams, since I started watching football in the early 90's. Like I said below, the Seahawks were out played at home by the Packers. Patriots destroyed the Colts and then Steelers on the road. It would be a good game but 2004 Patriots win 7 outta 10 times

Maybe. But bigger chance when Lynch leaves the Seahawks fall to just another good team. Let's not forget they were dominated at home by the Packers last week.
I'm rooting for Pats mostly because a friend died last September and he was a full on Bostonian Pats fan that had moved to Texas. Talked about the Colts but it was never the hateful little brother talking all the post-2001 Pats fans always spew.

yeah, it was pretty bad. it seems like Del Rio was completely expecting Mike Smith to join him, and didn't really have a good contingency plan. he's mostly going to run the defense anyway, so the concern isn't huge, but yeah its not a good sign.
Damn, I thought I posted that in the coaching changes thread. Anyway,Philo
I'm looking forward to seeing which team can run the ball. That will decide this, the team that can play from third and short has a huge advantage. Put anyone in third and long all game and it's usually curtains.
I do think the Pats will do all they can to funnel RW back to the middle, playing backers further out than they would vs others.
Will Tom Brady join Montana/Bradshaw as the only 4 time winning QB's? Will Russell Wilson add another first to his impressive resume?
I do think the two fastest power backs in the league are here. , Blount returns kickoffs.
I will be up in the hills at a bar with some gamblers watching the game. The talk is....the under.
Did I just see the Raiders mentioned in a SB thread? The league is better when the silver % black are in the mix, maybe by 2025.
Dan Marino taking the Seahawks because.....they can run the ball.

I don't see how Seattle wins this game. The Pats defense has a decisive advantage over the Hawks offense which isn't the case when comparing the Pats offense and Hawks defense.
The Pats' secondary has a decided advantage over Seattle's receivers, but I'm still scared over the front 7's inability to stop monkeyball. Ninkovich always takes the most ty pass rushing angles against scrambling QBs, and Collins is the only linebacker who even has a chance at tackling Wilson in the open field. If they aren't over aggressive with the pass rush and just keep Wilson in the pocket, they should have a great game. Collins has been a stud on LB blitzes the last two games, but I'd much rather they have him spy Wilson on passing downs today than blitz.
I don't think they will blitz much. I see them stacking the box and containing the run while playing man against their WRs. They should well-prepared on keeping Wilson in the pocket. He's gonna run as much as possible since he won't have too many open guys to throw to, but the defense should be ready.
there were people here saying the same before last year's SB too
Smart fans knew Fivehead was going to choke again like always, tbh. This year, though, it would take a gag of 18-1 proportions for the Patriots to lose.
you can keep saying this all you want, but this game was essentially a pick 'em in Vegas. No clear favorite either way.
I think there's no question it's a better match up for New England and losing would be a stain on Brady's legacy, but it wouldn't be a choke.
EDIT: To be clear, if Brady goes out and gets sodomized no-lube the way Manning did last year, then that would be a choke![]()
Different story last season. Seattle were a much better offense last season and Denver's defense was terrible. Plus Seattle were better than Denver last season. That isn't the case this year. The Pats have been the best team in football for most of the season.
