Blake Griffin is their weakness. They rely on him heavily, but he doesn't have anything above average other than jumping ability.
Spoken like someone who hasn't watched him play. He's one of the best passing bigs in the league, especially out of double teams. He actually isn't using his athleticism enough anymore since he's overdoing it with the midrange jumper this year. Granted, he's pretty bad defensively, although some of that has to do with his physical limitations (T-rex arms).

The real weakness is and will always be Choke Paul. He can be taken out of games in crucial moments by bigger defenders, he overdribbles constantly, and he loves to slow the game to a crawl and play not to lose with a big lead (which cost us Game 5 last year). He can't be anything more than a role player on a team that's serious about winning, but his ego and paycheck won't allow that.

I agree Blake has been your best player going on at least two seasons (when healthy). I do think you go out of your way though to unfairly murder Paul. You do with CP3, upstairs does it to Parker, Lakers used to do it to Pau (now some Bulls fans doing the same) Heat fans to Bosh etc. Paul is a a-hole, some of your criticisms are valid but he is still an elite PG even after his injuries.

There's a moment between the OKC and LAC comments, where Simmons makes some comments on Conley's mentality as a PG and GS Green getting Speights going... being fully aware of which teammates need to get in rhythm and how to ignite them. It made me wonder if/how that would contrast with the way TP sees the game right now with his recent struggles.

Oh what the ever. He's a leaping dunker and a mediocre shooter. Lots of NBA players can pass the ball. He's a half assed defender as well.

I really wonder if Simmons has actually watched Kyrie play this year.

Not very many at his position at the level he does it at. Our offense would be monumentally worse without his passing skills. (Yes, I know we've won a couple games without him, but two games is a small sample size.)

And down the stretch of crucial playoff games, it will once again be Choke Paul overdribbling and Crawful chucking up terrible shots while everyone else gets ignored, just like Game 5.

Chris Paul would be fine if he had the right team. Same with Blake, same with Jordan, however they've learned lobs aren't going to win in the playoffs. All that gorilla posturing after a 2pt dunk, acting like it's a college sweet 16 game, that's not something teams that have been to the top of the mountain think they need to do. Oh some still will as a token, however the Clippers started off on the wrong foot with the dunking and all the showtime . Their biggest stars can't shoot the ing ball. CP3 is a decent shooter, not a great one. Blake can't shoot for , and Jordan can't hit the backboard from the FT line. They have some good shooters on the team, but the core is ed. You look at other cores across the league throughout history; Showtime Lakers, Celtics, Spurs, even the Heat and Shaq/Kobe Lakers had at least two guys who could score at will and they could defend. You stop one, the other gets you. You stop him and now you have that third guy lighting you up. That's not happening with the Clippers. All you have to do is let them implode, which they will. Don't turn the ball over, make them play in the half court and they are done. That's not a championship team, never will be.

I hate the Clippers probably more than anyone on this forum but this is pure stupidity. To say Blake Griffin (In 2015!) doesn't have anything above average other than jumping ability? To say Blake Griffin is their weakness? Jesus Christ guy, have you even watched a Clippers game in the past few seasons? This defies logic.

The Clippers problem are their wings are Crawford, Barnes, and Red . CP3 is not the problem. PGs don't carry championships if you're barking up that tree.

The only "right team" for Choke Paul would be a glorified all-star team that's stacked at every position with him playing an extremely minor role in the offense. Any team where he's even a top three option is not winning jack .

They are banking on him too much. They don't have a real talent other than at PG. He's improved his outside shooting but so what? I keep hearing "he's developed a 3pt shot" but he's hit 8 all year.. 8. The Clippers have 5 men on the floor but almost always play a high screen two man game, three at most. You often have three guys standing around watching. The team expects Blake to get them there with his athleticism or for Paul to do something creative, but they have no chemistry and they'd be better off trading Blake for a good defender and outside shooter.

Same number of rings. At least Paul plays defense. People with revisionist views of Steve Nash .
