I say waive Ayers or Williams.

Robinson is a guy we could hopefully develop. Has talent and athleticism. Just needs the right situation.

Looks like victor claver will get bought out. Some Folks here liked him during his draft.

AK47 Waived as expected. "There are a handful of teams stateside still interested in pursuing him, sources say, but Kirilenko has not yet made it clear whether he's prepared to consider fresh NBA offers." A phone call from the front office won't hurt asking if he wants to stay in the USA til June. Why not pick up the phone and see what he says.
LOL@ Spur"s FO actually calling someone.

Interesting. I bet he goes back to Europe where he can get paid and get playing time, but I wouldn't be surprise if the Spurs have him a call.

I could see the Spurs going for Claver. It's a pretty small sample size given how limited his minutes have been, but it looks like he's been working on his three point shooting.

i hope we land thomas robinson (although i have no idea who else is rumored to be bought out). we could use some who's hasn't won it all, who's hungry. he doesn't need to do a lot for us, just be a spark off the bench and provide energy. especially with the way splitter's been playing.

Robinson's biggest issue is that he's shorter than Danny Green and can't make up for it in any meaningful way.

I watched Robinson a lot when he was at KU. Good defender and rebounder. I don't think there is much after that at the NBA level. But he is a guy who won't be soft out there.

Nah he isn't shorter than Danny Green. Actually, it's not even close.

Robinson is 6'7'75 without shoes. That's exactly the same height of Kevin Love. Green is 6'5'25 without shoes. 2 inches and a half taller than Green. He can probably go up to 6'9 depending on shoes.

Also 7'3 wingspan, which is fine for a PF. Height is not his problem. BBIQ is. He has motor, he can rebound and that's it

Since when would waiving Ayres be a bad thing? I would wave him for nothing infact
Just Mr. Holt's checkbook if they were to replace his roster spot. Probably to the order of a hundred or two CATs. He's next to walk if anything of value presented itself.

Not surprised ST liked him since all you have to be to meet their criteria, is be European. Dude is absolute . Can't create, can't defend, doesn't have a true position..

Spurs better not mess around and talk to this guy.

Nothing of value is going to come for him honestly

I look at it this way. Spurs turned Green from a nobody into a somebody. I think the Spurs coaching staff could do it again, maybe.

Robinson is ing terrible. There's a reason that he's now on his 4th team in 2 1/2 seasons. He can jump high, but he can't ball.

Ayres is just useless man, not likely. He can't catch or do a thing else besides dunk and even then he misses a few of those.

Reminds me of Tyrus Thomas in many ways: huge motor, good rebounding/defense, long tweener PF with limited range, and questionable bbiq.

Spurs were interested in that Thomas, and can see the interest in this one. He also has a compelling personal story for what that's worth.

Oh I agree there, some upside atleast as opposed to Ayres. What a joke FA signing that was. Pop cant even get him in alot of times in garbage time it seems.

I can assure you that no matter what NBA gossip you read wherever, the Spurs were never interested in TT. He's not just raw, he's an idiot and head case, which is why he's out of the league.
