He prolly was my most hated player last year alongisde Durant in OKC. But this year, how can you hate this dude? The supposed to be alpha keeps getting injured what is he supposed to do? He's doing a great job carrying OKC this season and last year in the playoffs too.

He may not complete trust his teammates but you can never question his effort and heart to contribute to win a game.

I know he shot terribly tonight
He's never been a good shooter. Ever. But it's mostly self inflicted. I think he could become a very good shooter if he just took better shots.
Westbrook. The true meaning of the gift and the curse.
This. His is ultra talented but he's just not smart enough to turn that talent into greatness. Much like Francis, when his athleticism goes he will be out of the league.

j/k , DMC, calm the down with your routine keyboard crusade .

We get it, you hate OKC and want to but every player you wish was on the spurs. Maybe if you ask nicely they'll spread their big black anuses for you.
    It's "Ani"

Bull . You're confusing contribution and heart with greed and self promotion. If he truly wanted to contribute he would not throw up 40 shots on a team with other people on the floor. If he had heart, it wouldn't be seen through heroballing regardless of his constant break neck pace. It would be seen though perseverance as his teammates learn to contribute.

Running 100 mph every possession does not equal not showing passion. Its playing stupid and reckless.

Shooting 40 shots in a game does not equal showing passion. Its not being alpha. Its being stupid and reckless.

Mark Madsen showed lots of passion. Did you love him as much as Westbrook? KG showed lots of passion, and nobody can stand that mother fukker.

    What he says:

"Honestly, I think I was actually shooting too much, I think I got to do a better job of trusting my teammates more. I am not saying I don't, but consistently trusting them regardless of what is going on, regardless of the time, score and possession. Just find a way to trust them and let them make some plays as well." -Russell Westbrook

I don't think we'll have to worry about Russ trusting his teammates anytime soon, since his chucking it's really a trust issue but a self promotion issue. He so overtly self promotes that he has to dress like a clown and basically on his team to get attention even during a time when there's no other real presence of the floor.

He's not even the worst chucker on his own team. Look no further than Waiters and Kanter (675 shots+TOs to 26 assists this year = 26x).

Westbrook may be shooting too much, but you have to love his passion and drive. He doesn't take nights out. If he's ready to play, he is playing.
His teammates shot >50% for the evening. That's not a drive to win, that's a drive to glorify yourself at any/all expense.
