They won't miss a beat. They could've easily used that money to sign other pieces. Wiggins is gonna be a stud.
Where do you think they would be right now?
I haven't really followed the Cavs or Wiggins this season, but I continue to read how good of a rookie campaign he's having.

He is starting to figure it out.
Early in the season there is debate on Rookie of the Year. Now its his to lose.
I bet Love isn't re-signed, and this goes down as one of the biggest regrets in Cavs history. Even better if LeOpportunist bolts for somewhere easier to win a le too.
Love wont leave he is to craven ...he will let James whisper sweet nothings and re-sign. If they dont win it soon (by next season) he will be blamed and LeBron will replace him soon enough (via trade) with another one of his besties in the NBA ... you heard it here first.
assuming the mozgov trade still happens, the team would have mozgov, thompson, lebron, wiggins in the front and irving, smith and shumpert as guards... Probably too young, but for sure the potential and the fit is there
If they had just had a little patience they probably could have pulled something like a Kyrie/Waiters/picks trade for Love right now. They traded for Love at his peak value.
They probably could have had Love too, tbh. If not this season, the next one.
Always said they'd be better. Probably could have traded Bennett and the Miami first for Ryan Anderson.
I think they would be better too. A running team with some size.
Cavaliers might have managed 1st Place in their division![]()
Could very well be and it would serve them right for the trade. Love is overrated IMO anyways, just a good #2 or #3 option and not very good on D etc. He is basically a jump shooting big man who can board but his numbers were inflated on a bad team. Wiggins might be the truth, if he develops into a very good player that trade down the road will look really bad I agree.
While I think the trade is bad, people here make it out like Wiggins is some kind of great prospect or something.
He's not.
He can potentially be a great D guy because of his athleticism and instincts, but he's not there yet.
His O is mostly inefficient chucking in the mold of Kobe Bryant and DeRozan. Way too many long twos, mid range game is average, not great a clock management, not an overly good passer and missing teammates often.
All in all, I'd still want Wiggins over Love, especially considering Love would sign with the Cavs anyways after this season if the Cavs didn't trade for him (who doesn't want to play with Lebron?). Should have stayed put, may trading away Irving and Waiters, get a steady hand at point (Knight, or in retrospect, Dragic), develop Wiggins, get Mozgov and they would be dominating the East for years.
Gotta give Wiggins props. Got drafted by Cleveland the worst city in America. Traded to one of the worst franchise in the NBA. Didn't and whine like that clown in LA. Shows what type of character he has.
no lie is dude even canadian?
Gotta disagree..no matter where he goes, dude is getting paid millions. I think he will start to care more about location come 2nd or 3rd contract when being a millionaire loses its novelty.
now isn't the problem. if they had kept Wiggins the window would stay open until Lebron retires, epic mistake IMO
Instant champions tbh. Wiggins can teach Lebron how to post and proper footwork and Lebron would become a beast.
