Seen the Night Flier? If you haven't....check it out.
I love his books and movies. As far as books I've read Thinner, Nightmares and Dreamscapes, Misery, and Firestarter. For Movies I've seen "It" ( had me scared for like a month after), The Dark Half (Great concept), Storm of the Century (Saw this at 8 years old when it originally came out and rewatched it last night, it's a chilling movie with a great plot), Sometimes they Come Back, Thinner (The movie is a joke compared to the book) and "Needful Things". What have you guys read and watched?
PS - Please no spoilers if possible.

I saw Thinner at the dollar theater with my mom when i was a kid.
It was okay.
I'm sure the book was way better but movie was decent

Did you read the book of Pet Semetary or watch the movie? I've always heard so many things about that one.
I read the book first. The movie was OK I guess. Not many of the movies have really done justice for the books. And if the horror movies, maybe only the Shining. Oh yeah...and the Mist. That's a good movie.
The mini-series 'IT' was quite poor in comparison to the book, but not too bad. Only ones of King's movies I've enjoyed as much as the books are The Stand (mini-series) and Misery (probably because Kathy Bates carried it).
Oh yeah...Misery. I didn't like the Stand miniseries. But it was way better than It or Langoliers.
They didnt have to show what they did at the end of the Mist, but I enjoyed it overall. Ive read most King books aside from some 2006-2010 stuff.
I can't remember...was that in the book? For some reason, I was surprised by it in the movie.Have you read Mr. Mercedes? I'm thinking about giving it a shot.
Yeah, Stephen King is alright. IT was one of my favorite movies as a kid, and the book (from the 50% I've read so far) is much better. Some of his newer doesn't really interest me, like Under the Dome.. I read the description and that was enough for me.
As for movies, there's a ton that I like.. IT, Misery, Stand by Me, Shawshank Redemption, Carrie, Green Mile, Pet Sematary, The Shining, 1408 to name a few.
Ah, I forgot 1408 was from King. That's another great movie, John Cusack is a great actor.
Gunna watch Kingdom Hospital and see what that's about tbh...
master of the first act. even though his books usually fall off a cliff soon after, they are vivid, memorable, and full of great moments. got chills when 1963 dude crossed paths with IT kids
I know he's great, no doubt about it, and I love Lovecraft, Poe but for some unknown reason I just never warmed up to King, why???????????????
Who the knows. Too many possible reasons to go through. Most likely the time of your life when they came out.
Liked a lot of his short stories. Heard his novel drag on too much.
I enjoyed the Stand, It, Langoliers books but yeah they weren't very good when transferred to the screen. Although the Langoliers had enough of a cultish cheesy b movie feel to it that I kind of enjoyed it.
