"..... the*Anti-Cruelty Society of Chicago recently held an auction March 26 to raise money for the pet-adoption*charity, and one of the items was a Cutler signed football.

It received zero bids at the asking price of $100. Not a single one.

Granted, this was the Chosen Man's Best Friend and Factor Felines fashion show, held at Bloomingdale's on North Michigan Avenue in downtown Chicago, and according to*Anti-Cruelty Society president Dr. Robyn Barbiers, it wasn't exactly "a football crowd."

But still. This is Chicago. More than the Cubs or Bulls or dirty politics, nothing riles this town up like the Bears. And this is*the starting quarterback.*.....

But there was an interesting development in the case. After the auction, an anonymous person called the Anti-Cruelty Society and offered the $100 opening bid, which was accepted, reportedly to give his son, a Bears fan, a nice gift.
No truth to the rumor that the anonymous man's name was Ray Butler
