Everything for the Spurs was a big pile of dog tonight!!!!!
In the first half, the Spurs couldn't shoot. In the second half, they couldn't defend. So what needs to be fixed on both?

Parker can't defend so the defense breaks down every play. He can't run the offense and sucks nowadays. You could say both.
Spurs offense was the problem. Ball movement was stagnant. Clips shooters were on fire. That won't happen every night.
I thought the defense could be better, but this is a high scoring Clippers team. We at least were able to hold them to 19 for a quarter.
Our offense was putrid save for very small stretches, mostly when their bench was in.
Pop is going to have to figure out a way to hurt them when their starters are in. That's the challenge. Then we gotta to the little things that help: make freethrows, rebound, etc.
Possibly one of the worst Spurs playoffs performances I've seen since the Richard Jefferson years.
DeAndre really wrecked havoc in the paint. Spurs seemed worried about his shotblocking presence. Every time Kawhi looked like he'd post up or drive, Jordan would rotate and Kawhi would pass. We can't beat the Clippers if Kawhi averages less than 20 points. Need to find a way to get him some good shots.
Free throws were a big killer. There were also a ton of in and out shots for Parker, Green, and Kawhi. Even if the ball bounces a little differently Wednesday, we see a different ball game
Transition D was horrific. Just killed several runs.
Issues on both obviously.
But you won't win a game against LA with 18 points in one quarter.
Parker has to learn how play various other sets..He's mad in love with that two man game between him and TD.
I wouldn't say our shooters were "on fire." Crawford had a fluke game, but Re was ice cold and other players (Blake especially) were missing layups that they'd usually make.
The Spurs' effort and execution seemed equally bad on both ends.
The biggest problem was the passing. This was the worst passing game I've ever seen from the Spurs. Every pass was off the mark, many of them horribly so. Even if they were on the mark, they were slow, high-arcing passes that never had a chance to arrive on target before getting picked off. And that's why they couldn't shoot, because they didn't have enough open shots, despite the fact that LA was crowding the paint on defense. I don't know what the happened with the passing, because usually this team excels at quick, crisp passing. They just need to work the passing drills in practice, and they'll be fine.
It was a combination of both. The Clips were playing good D so better ball movement will lead to better decision making. I can't believe some of the the Spurs were throwing up hoping it would fall for them.
They had so many blown assignments on defense, especially in transition, that it HAS to be the D. The offense played timid at times, but shots that normally fall just weren't tonight. If they make their free throws and continue to challenge inside, I think the offense comes. But they will have plenty of film to show the defensive lapses that simply can't continue if they want to win this series.
yes including the refs
Yes, also too many many turnovers.
No fixing. Just put this one behind you and go to the next. If they aren't where they need to be by now, this two day hiatus isn't going to solve anything.
It was all an 'I don't care' performance from top to bottom.
He's never been a good playmaker. Just another one of his many limitations as a player. If he could shoot or run the offense at an elite level, he'd be invaluable to this team. But he can't do either which makes him a poor fit for this incarnation of the Spurs. The starting unit desperately needs spacing and a creator.
Clips 3's 37% in the regular season.
Tonight 55.5%
When the Spurs start over helping in the paint around Griffin, that leaves shooters wide open.
Stop over helping and bad closeouts.
