Ok, bad wording on my part. When the offense is ran through Kawhi then you'll have a point. The ball was predominantly in Rique's hands last night...the fact that he couldn't get many shots up and inly had 1 asst despite that is a testament to how poor a choice it is to run the offense through him.
except last night Kawhi used more possessions than Parker thus offense run through him more than Parker

he has been overwhelmed by double teams... if he can't handle it we ed and it's usage will go down and you will cry cauz parker does not give him the ball... Pop won't let Kawhi operate on O if he cannot break the double teams by his passing

Now we're assigning blame to the first option on offense? Where was this in 2013 when Tony the bed against the Heat and got outplayed by Mario Chalmers in games 6/7? IIRC, everybody blamed Manu for his turnovers back then. Parker fans continue to shift the goalposts.

some of the responses in this thread..

Manu was roasted for his 2013 performance, people were wishing death on him, including some of the posters in this thread, actually..

This year's Parker received just a fraction of the hate Manu received during that time, yet all these pussies have spent the entire year crying about Parker threads, it's embarrassing..

stop hating on Tony, he's always injured, he has a strained hammy, broken ankles, ALS
stop hating, he wasn't bad last year, think of game 7 vs. Dallas
those stats are stupid, I don't care that the team was better when he was on the bench, I only use the eye test
Reggie Miller and Jon Barry said otherwise
he's not fat, it's just the angle of the picture
I'm leaving the forum, they aren't sucking Parker's , this sucks
he's only getting paid 14 million, it isn't fair
points scored is all I care about
    it's still 2013
I'm not a Cavs fan and my name isn't Joe, guys, stop

At one point in the game thread I counted his Parker referenced-posts and I got to 7 in about 2-3 minutes of game time. I didn't have the energy to keep it up, but it would be interesting to check the game thread. Over/under on 100 posts about Parker alone?
Way over. 80% of his posts in game threads are about Tony. 15% are about Kawhi. 5% are about the game.

It's funny how he claims to be a Spurs fan when he spends the vast majority of his energy being obsessed with one guy on the team, how much he hates him, and the rest of it on how we're going to lose every game by 20. Then he claims to be a "real fan" and shows up celebrating when we win.

    Trapped!

First look at this picture (below). This is a really bad situation being caught in the corner, hemmed in by both sidelines. Don't let yourself get caught in a corner. Don't ever stop your dribble in the corner or along the baseline... if you've dribbled baseline and find that you've got nowhere to go, just back-dribble back out, but never stop the dribble there.

    Avoid the Trap

Avoid getting caught by dribbling into one of the "trapping zones" (colored areas) seen below.

    Escaping a Trap

Once in a trap, get in triple threat position and get low with the ball protected on the hip. The common mistake is to stand upright and pivot away from the defenders. This allows the defenders to "squeeze" into your backside. Now you can neither see the floor, nor can you pivot. See position below

    "Take an Outside Leg"

If you have a little room along the sideline, from triple-threat position, if you can't find someone to pass to... "take an outside leg". Get your leg around the outside leg of one of the defenders and bust out of there with a dribble. In the diagram, the left foot is your pivot foot. Get low and take a long step with your right foot around the defender's outside foot, while pushing the ball forward, protecting it with your body.

    "Split the Trap"

If the trappers are not "knee-to-knee", then "split the trap". From triple-threat position, stay low and aggressively step thru, between the two defenders, and dribble out of there. This is a little like a "football move", like a running back getting low and running thru the line.

In either case, you've got to be tough and strong. Don't be afraid to make contact with the defenders.

It's pretty funny watching you scramble to jump back on the turnip truck that has long since took a turn into a toxic waste dump. Did you just realize that no one else really likes you and so you've gone crawling back to your krew?

I don't think the loss is on Parker, everybody played mediocre or poorly outside of Mills..
