I agree, but I said his outside chance was that Green is playing with Bogut and Jordan screwing everything for Green...

I've seen him in multiple 2nd team votes but I also have seen him not being in the list...hopefully the points he gets for 2nd team bumps him to third team at least, but realistically, I say there's small chances..but who knows.

Eh, the age comparison is never a good indicator. They should compare by seasons played instead since experience matters more. Pippen at 23 was in his 2nd year in the league. Kawhi at 23 is in his 4th year.

I think the age comparison is good. Leonard's rookie year was a lockout so he didn't really learn that much, his 2nd year was basically his rookie year, then he's had all sorts of injuries during the off season which has halted his development. Sort of evens it out I guess.

I honestly believe he deserves it and he has a good chance to get it. He is the best defender of the league but also the scoring leader of the actual defending champs that just missed second seed in the loaded west by 1/2 game.

On a side note, I liked his speech for his award, contrary to what you've said I think Kawhi is happy with the Spurs and acknowledge all what this organization is doing for him. I think he will accept the max offer from Spurs and won't try UFA in two years imo

Nah, you don't compare a 2nd year player to a 4th year player. That 3rd-4th year is when a rising star player usually has his breakout season and starts showing those enhanced skills through experience in the league. Pippen also had his injuries early in his career with the offseason back surgery after his rookie year and struggled during the first couple of months in his sop re year.

yeah his FMVPP really got into his head with his piss poor performance in this year..only winning DPOY, averaging career highs, Possibly All-nba team.
