Update: Hill (lower abdominal pain) will not travel with the Magic when they head to Indiana to face the Pacers tonight, the Orlando Sentinel reports.
Recommendation: Instead Hill will travel to Philadelphia to see a specialist. He is later expected to meet with Orlando officials to discuss the possibility of shelving him for the remainder of the season.
Grant Hill's NBA career is one of the sadest in NBA history. He should just retire.
How much money does he have left on his contract?
I am pretty sure it is a lot (though the number of years can't be more than 1 or 2).
It is tough to leave that amount of money.
^I'm sure he has plenty of money saved up from sitting on his butt and still getting paid fro his max contract all these years.
Normally if a player is forced to retire because of injury he's still en led to the remaining money on his contract.
He's not sticking around because he's trying to collect on his contract. He could have gotten a medical waiver a long time ago.
I believe he truly loves the game.
I know, I was only half kidding about the whole sitting around on his butt while collecting money thing.
That's why I said earlier, he has one of the saddest stories in the NBA. He's a great player who never really got a chance to show off his skills because of injury after injury.
When will Grant Hill just retire? I say he needs to retire after this year.
