DALLAS -- The Dallas Mavericks said they would be without starters Josh Howard and Adrian Griffin and top reserve Devin Harris against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday night.

Howard has been hobbled by a strained left hamstring. He missed four games and then left after playing 12 minutes Sunday night in Sacramento. Griffin strained his right hamstring Saturday night against Utah, the same game that Harris strained his left thigh.

The loss of Howard and Harris hurt Dallas the most. The Mavs are 16-0 when Howard scores 20 points and Harris shares point guard duties with Jason Terry, with both usually playing together in the fourth quarter.

After playing Cleveland, Dallas will have 18 games left. The Mavs and San Antonio Spurs are in a tight battle for first in the Midwest Division and likely the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference, which would mean home-court advantage in a probable second-round matchup between the clubs.

Keith Van Horn was also to be out because of a sprained ligament in his left knee that's sidelined since March 3. (I consider this a plus for Dallas)

Remember Cleveland without Hughes as well, but Howard is a big loss.

My girlfriend's best friend saw Devin Harris at a club last night. What's his injury? She got a pic with him, he looked healthy to me.
Sounds like CIA Avery to me.

_irk is trying to put the team on his shoulders, shot 4-14 in the first half and only got one FT. Mavs started someone named Rawle Marshall at F; Marshall has a total of 13 minutes in the L before tonight. His 4 points in the first half nearly doubled his career scoring total.

Stackhouse doing his usual number, 2-7 in 11 minutes with one assist. Dallas shot 15-39 in the half, 0-1 on threes to trail 53-34. Cavs have been known to do the el foldo in the 2nd half and Mavs have come back a lot this year, so it ain't over yet.

a microscale example of how overrated LeBron is. He goes for the steal constantly, always getting out of position for rebounds he's capable of, and defensive position he can take advantage of

    he also dribbles too much

thats why he sucked worse than stephon marbury in FIBA...he's a typical example of how bad ass you can be by taking advantage of the nba travelling calls when you're ridiculously strong and athletic too
