Surprisingly satisfying. It's Liam Neeson once again doing the retired badass thing again...but it's a little different spin. Could have gotten a higher score if the story hadn't been ridiculously predictable. However, the constant pace and good acting by Neeson and Harris kept the movie interesting enough between the action sequences. Drunk Santa Neeson was a nice touch.

    Life After Beth-2.5/5.0

Notable cast for a fairy small movie. (Not a spoiler) a guys GF comes back from the dead and she acts differently. Movie seems like its supposed to be a dark comedy but isn't really funny. As a serious movie, its just not very good.

    Wolf of Wall Street 4.5/5.0

Very late on watching it but was fantastic. DiCaprio was awesome. Consistently entertaining and funny with some eye candy (Margot Robbie)

    Gone Girl-4.5/5.0

Great acting and interesting plot that progresses well. Does a great job of satire on media coverage on the "crime of the century" stories

    Birdman-3.5/5.0

Not bad but felt it was a bit overrated. Fairly entertaining and had some good acting overall. Plot was fairly unique and the way it was shot and the main characters grip on reality made it more interesting.

    Wild-4.0/5.0

Good acting from Witherspoon and interesting plot. Woman walks 1000 mile trail, essentially, to straighten her life out after becoming addicted to drug and cheating on her husband.

Yes, absolutely. Made thoroughly watchable & enjoyable by Ngor as he rightfully & justifiably dominates this film.

He appears again notably in "My Life" as Michael Keaton's last hope to assuage a terminal cancer diagnosis. Ngor examines Keaton and renders his prognosis:::"The light is moving too fast. Put your house in order."

    ---------

Somebody murdered Ngor 3 years later.

you can watch this film multiple times and still see new stuff. I also read the book which is great too, better than the movie but the movie is pretty damn good.

Hoffman and Mcqueen in this are arguably the best 1-2 duo ever IMo
Though I made the mistake of reading the comments section on IMDB and discovered a viewer had noticed a diver under McQueen at the end as he's on the coconut raft. I've watched that movie numerous times and never noticed it, but, by God it's as plain as the nose on your face.

    Spoiler

Nice set up for the twist. Didn't see it coming right up until I saw the diary burned just slightly around the edges which was just a few minutes before we see her driving away. Still don't get why Affleck has to stay with psycho at the end.

The miniature golf scene where she jumps up and drops the money in front of the trailer trash was ridiculously stupid.

    Overall good though.

This is into the TV realm, but, they're showing a "Columbo" marathon on one of the Hallmark Channels this weekend. I thought I'd saw 'em until I was sick to death of 'em, but, it's been a fine time today watching them again. The one with Robert Conrad (a fitness guru who murders) is coming up later on tonite and that is always a good one. For about 5 years they were just prime materiel.

If you have little ones this movie is actually a pretty good story line.
The trailers make it look like its non stop dumbf bear knocking things over, pure slapstick.
While there is a lot of that, in between the writers did a good storyline.

Red Cliff, one of those many Japanese/Chinese flicks on Netflix. Something I rarely do because as we all know they are really bad. This one however was pretty good, which surprised me. The action scenes on a whole other level than the norm for those kinds of flicks.

I do recommend it, just don't take it too seriously because it's not about that. It's all about...wow!!!!!

What a weird piece of movie. I gave it a 1 because I laughed at Will Smith trying to play a serious Lucifer

I watched one this morning,,,"In The Blood"---not bad for 3/4 of it, but, it went sideways so bad the last 1/4 it ruined it. A couple on their honeymoon go to an island off Mexico where the husband disappears. The wife, a trained fighter (I know, I know) won't rest until she finds him. She's a rough customer and tears up most of the island in the search. Danny Trejo shows up and does well till the last part. Stephen Lang is in there somewhere, but, like "Tombstone" he's unrecognizable. The rest of the cast is unknown to me. The wife is built like a brick house.

The Mexican guy from "Boogie Nights"---the one wanting to get into the pornos has a nice part in this as the corrupt island police chief.

    It's extremely violent and bloody.

I liked the idea of Ultron being an angry teenager with a flawed perspective of the World, but he is supposed to beat the our of the Avengers and I felt they beat him too easily

They got Vision, SW and QS right though

Enjoyed the short fight between Stark and Cap, can't wait for Civil War

Predictable recycled plot, unnecessary slashings, annoying lisp from Samuel L Jackson.

He was a got in this movie. No one in the audience gave two squirts of piss about that annoying bucket or what happened to him. I was kinda sad his head didn't get cut off and Ultron didn't take a giant down his neck.
