No woulda coulda shoulda. Spurs had all sorts of issues and couldn't get past the sorry-ass Clippers. Health, old age, lack of desire..pick whatever reason you want, the truth is the Spurs couldn't muscle through the adversity this year. Re-tool and go get it next year.

No point of discussing this its water under the bridges. This feels too much like '00 when the Lakers won it and the vibe back then was the Spurs would have beaten them had Duncan not torn his meniscus before the playoff started. We all know what happened after which was unfortunately the Lakers won 2 more les.
    You sir are correct... Agreed.

    Spurs never repeat anyways, tbh..

Just get ready for next season, hope Parker miraculously decides to retire, and move on..

They didn't have any real issues, they were healthy as you can only wish, all the cir stances of winning a back to back le were in their favor, pop just ed up the season and a golden oportonity for no reason with his naiveness, stupidity and arrogance...

Not with a gimpy Splitter and a cancer Parker. But yes, we were the only team that could beat the Dubs.
Going six games against crap injured Memphis and Cleveland teams tells you all you need to know about GS this year.

TD would have punished Green in the post. He's no Mozgov. Diaw also. They wouldn't have been able to guard us.

True Dat. The Spurs match up extremely well with GS and have the perimeter defenders to stifle and small lineup from GS.

If Parker's ego wasn't has big as his waist line, the Spurs could very well have repeated.

The way I see it is that the Spurs lost to the Clippers in the first round so anything after that is speculation and a disservice to the teams that advanced.

Spurs losing to the clippers because parker gets out played by an injured player has nothing to do with our discussion on how could have easily beaten both the cavs and warriors.

No! but the fact the Spurs didn't get the chance has everything to do with Parker. I am not hating on the guy. I just call things like I see them. Parker was injured. He should have sat and just played 15 minutes a night. If he did, there is no doubt in my mind the Spurs would have won 4-1 against the Clips. But him getting schooled by Rivers over and over was just pathetic.

And parker too. Dude didn't fake an injury like he usually does in crunch time.

Sometimes teams get a little luck by avoiding certain teams in the playoffs.

Like the back-to-back Rockets in 1994 and 1995 avoiding the Sonics, a team that matched up well with them. Or even the Spurs avoiding Dallas in 2007.

The fact that Memphis and Cleveland got up 2-1, leads me to believe the Spurs would have gotten up 2-1. The difference is, the Spurs would have won a 3rd game and made things interesting.
