Our particular form of rule of law is unique, we enjoy many things that other people around the world do not and its sad that people are losing sight of that and taking it for granted
lol, you make it sound like rule of law it unique to us.
Our particular form of rule of law is unique, we enjoy many things that other people around the world do not and its sad that people are losing sight of that and taking it for granted
and that the "rule of law" is applied evenly, justly, fairly across all races and levels of wealth.
Rofl civil war
Muh guns muh guns
You can't honestly think for one moment that the idea of gun control isn't irresponsible and 200 million people are just going to turn them all in right
Gun control doesn't equal gun ban dumbass.
You can't honestly equate sensible back-ground checks and restrictions on gun show sales with outright gun prohibition.
That's exactly what the big gun control advocates like Diane Feinstein have said. In her own words "if I could get the votes I would confiscate all the guns America turn em all in"
We already have background checks, I wouldn't really be opposed to closing the gun show loophole but you do realize that it wouldn't have stopped any of the shootings in recent years right? They place restrictions, then more shootings happen, then what? More restrictions?
"If I could get the votes"
Dude, it's harder to get a driver's license than to get a gun. Educating people on how to responsibly use firearms wouldn't hurt anybody, and I say that as a proud owner of several guns.
Mass shooters already know how to use them and training them wouldn't have saved lives
Agreed, but your focus is too centered on S. Carolina. Are you saying educating people about firearm use wouldn't save lives? As far as preventing mass murders... I don't get the sense that anyone actually thinks they can regulate them away. It's more of a mental health/profiling issue than a gun restriction issue.
So you're saying restrictions don't work.
Not the ones I've seen proposed by the left. Our politicians are incredibly stupid people.
So are our polity.
Yeah I'm not a republican they're just as dumb but right now they're not my focus
I mean any of them. Current or otherwise. Why have any restrictions at all if killers are gonna do what they do
Now you're just being stupid. Laws have to make sense. These proposals don't.
can you think of a current or proposed law that would have stopped this guy?
Are you referring to full-on gun bans? Because they not only make no sense; they also have zero chance of passing. Blake's point stands, though... an absolutist stance against any sort of legislation or control makes as much sense as a full ban. There has to be a middle ground.
Lindsey Graham Figures Charleston Shooter Must Be Some Kind Of Ay-Rab, Somehow
I don’t know how you can sit with somebody for an hour in a church and pray with them and get up and shoot them.
That’s Mideast hate.
That’s something I didn’t think we had here but apparently we do.
I just can’t imagine what it takes of an individual to be welcomed into a church — and here’s what happened: He went to Charleston with a plan.
The people in the church had no idea who he was or what he had in mind, and he came into the church and was sitting in the pews by himself, and they invited him up for the Bible study, and spent an hour with him.
And he said, “They were so nice, I could’ve almost backed out.”
That says a lot about them.
Says a lot about him.

Took Longer Than I Expected: Bill O'Reilly Yanks Video Games Into Charleston Massacre For No Reason At All
"Look at video games," King said during the segment. "Our children play video games and 7 out of 10 of them are violent. Some of our movies are very violent, and we want to see more and more violence."
O’Reilly agreed with King, noting that there needs to be more pushback, more people need to argue that it’s "not a good thing to devote your leisure time to violent pursuits."

Too bad CNN already referred to it as a "Mortal Kombat shooting," whatever that means, before O'Reilly started blaming video games. Lib s fail again![]()
Interesting le given there are no guns in Mortal Kombat.![]()
