And has a player ever been so selected in the draft?
I couldn't tell you but it's a concern when it comes to bigs especially if they need to put on weight.

I saw his Draft Express stuff when his name was mentioned but didn't think they would actually take him.. Thought they'd address the SG/SF position given that Beli is probably gone and perhaps Manu

Starting to think some of the "maturity issues" that reports mentioned about Christian Wood may have had some merit.

RC's interview.. last 30 seconds said they had overseas assessments but didn't have a chance to get him in San Antonio or in front of their medical team.
The question was whether they wanted him to put on weight. They said they looked at him overseas but they had not had him in SA to evaluate fully. He also mentioned that he just finished his season last week. IOW, as per usual, we aren't telling you .

Milutinov is at least 2-3 seasons away from the NBA. I expect him to change the club this summer, due to financial problems that Partizan has. Plus Partizan is not playing in euroleague, and there is not place for improvements playing againts couple of mediocre centers in Adriatic league, or less. He needs big games. I'm concered about his ability to stay healthy, he had a couple of injury pauses previous 2 seasons. He had mononucleosis when he was 18 i think.

With half the roster going to UFA or RFA, it would have been nice to add someone who could help. Aldridge had better be a Spur.

Let's be honest, Spurs weren't going to draft a player to be on the roster unless it was one of a handful that weren't available when they were drafting. It made for a boring draft, but they need every penny for free agency.

I'm still bothered that we had the sixth seed and drafted so low. I understand they figure those tie breakers differently, but if we get screwed in playoff seeding, we also shouldn't get screwed in our draft position. Seems unfair.

This is the Spurs, what do you expect.. When the Spurs strike out on LMA and we ultimately lose our backup wing players we're all going to be looking for 2nd year Anderson who is physically unable to stay in front of players to help and when it fails we will be asking, "Why didn't we take someone athletic in the draft" lol..

.@MichaelErlerSBN asked Buford on a potential type of player Milutinov could be, Buford said Rasho Nesterovic.

Predictable draft frankly. Not sure it ever made sense to trade Tiago on draft night as some here wanted without a firm commitment from LMA. That would have been premature and dumb.

So they stash this guy. Spurfan still has a rookie in LJC to look forward to THIS season, and possibly Thomas from Barcelona if he does well in summer league.

The big play was always in free agency and not in the draft. Not sure why folks are so disappointed.

i'm happy with the pick. a center with measurables and mobility is what we needed, he is not gobert by any means, but we'll see how he develops.
