Took my son to his first game that he could fully appreciate. He got to see this Manu moment:

The game that made a believer out of me that he was going to be more than just a role player.

2005 WCF game 1 or 2: Suns win opening tip off, Manu bursts out of nowhere, gets the ball, drives and scores

Damn I wish I could find a video of his baseline floater that sealed Game 3 of the 2003 Finals.
I'll always remember this pass against the Lakers too.
More than anything, what I think I'll remember most about Manu is his passing ability. One of the most underrated passers of all time, tbh. Countless nutmegs and difficult passes made to look easy.
Surely one of his favorite moments...
Over Kenyon Martin, after having a steal just moments before... remember it like it was yesterday
So many to choose from. I'll go with one that's gets lost in the mix because his toe was on the line.
The scramble to the three point line for a turnaround three to tie the game against the grizz in '11. It gets forgotten because his toe was on the line, plus Neal hit another one. But damn that was an amazing clutch play.
This thread is making me sad.![]()
I can distinctly remember different phases of my life in these highlights. Manu has always been my favorite. He always will be. There will never be another player who could pass, score, and make so many momentum changing plays on defense. Dude is all around one of the best players of all time, and won't get nearly the credit he deserves because he didn't outscore.
One more year.

Pretty much this. Manu is and forever will be my favorite athlete.
I am a little conflicted though. Part of me doesn't want Manu to retire. But another part of me wants him to call it cuz I hate watching him struggle making plays he once made look easy.
This will always be one of my favorite plays from Manu. It appears he's just going to do a layup/finger roll, but at the last minute changes his mind and dunks it.
