the spurs didnt offer him a contract, he didnt have a say in it![]()
This has got to go down as one of the biggest Spurs sacrifices in memory. Alongside, TD and Manu taking huge paycuts.
If only we had a Conley type of guy instead of a Pork... Im not even asking for a prime Kidd or Nash.

Gotta hand it to Kawhi, he's a real team player. He's not hogging the salary cap and the ball like certain fat s.
Great ass licking! Apalisoc proud!
I wish Kawhi didn't take that sacrifice and just show up in game 7...
what exactly is the sacrifice kawhi made?
If Kawhi signs a short-term offer next weeks forcing the Spurs to match the offer before they signing Aldridge could be disastrous for the franchise.
Good to know that Kawhi is the type of Spurs' player willing to make sacrifices for the team and wait to lure a big-name free agent, even when that could impact negatively his own status on the team.
Team-first and a great kid.
he's going to sign the biggest contract he can possibly sign
I do not understand what this thread is about?
Damn knowing the risk of Injury, he went ahead and just waited to give the spurs a better shot.
Danny-LA..all these players are possible because of Kawhi willingness to wait for the benefit of his team.
Other players in his situation signed a QO or they want to sign a short offer to hit the market in 2017.
Other players who want to be the centerpiece of the team wouldn't allow the franchise to sign a high profile free agent.
God thanks for Kawhi.
what alternative did he have? he didn't have a contract offer
Talk about a team first mentality.
I wish individual first players would all get major injuries and never play again in the NBA.
A thanksgiving thread for Kawhi Spur for life.
that's the stuff I immediately recognize ... but LA=Los Angeles ... LMA= LaMarcus Aldridge .... and which trade did I miss? thread le and OP are just complete bull
Please go chase a parked car..thank you

post of the week
Aldridge isn't the missing piece.
One of the biggest sacrifices in Spurs history.
Kawhi
He makes more money by waiting.
Sacrificed?
By holding off contract negotiations last year for a maximum contract this year..? Hmmn
He's no Duncan. And it looks like he's poised to get his max with another salary discount from Duncan this yr (again) lol.
Well, he's deserving, no brainer despite lackluster 1st round vs Clippers playoff performance because of his potential, but come on...
Let us not get too starstruck here
