They told him Pop would expect him to play defense.

Actually, I'm an idiot. Suns have now cleared enough space to outright sign away Aldridge and keep Markieff and their picks.
Pop: "Hey Bud, about that Splitter trade. We were just kidding, we're keeping him LOL."
Still believe LA chooses the Spurs.....Really Suns?? If that is the case just stayed in Portland for 27 million more lol
So Aldridge doesn't want the money(from Portland) or to win now with the Spurs?
I hear it was for a 2020 second. So they aren't using those picks for anything. But none of those players was a keeper. They won't really feel their absences.
David West and Luis Scola, come on down.
Over/under 1,000 pages?
I thought that was only like 8M they just unloaded. They were already 12M under the cap before that?
I'm not assuming anything until he actually comes to an agreement with a team.
Snubbing us for Houston or even Portland would make sense. But leaving the Blazers to go to the ing Suns? This guy is a huge loser if he signs with them.
Welp, this just means LMA wasn't serious about winning. Hopefully that Splitter trade can be rescinded.
Rebounding is still important, though, and some teams have bigs that need to be defended. Splitter was the best option besides LMA and now it looks like we'll be without both.
Patty Mills was also at the meeting today with Aldridge. Mills and Aldridge were teammates for 2 years in Portland. Considering he was used in their pitch, it's highly unlikely Mills will be traded for a salary dump.
