Agree on O'Quinn. I'm a fan of his if they can get someone else young and good (they can't). no to Gibson. The Spurs better not trade Splitter for free then turn around and give assets for another big.
All y'all s will still be celebrating just as hard when he picks the Spurs.

Maybe the Nyets will meet with him next, and the owner can backdoor him some money on top of his contract like he did with AK47.
And the old "be near your son" thing was pretty bogus, wasn't it?
Exactly.
Teams operating under the cap and able to take on Phoenix's salary (unless they structure Chandler/Aldridge as TWO sign-and-trades with Dallas & Portland):
Excluding Spurs, Dallas & Portland obviously
Atlanta - No
Boston - No after Amir Johnson signing
Brooklyn - No, nor will they ever
Charlotte - Not totally up to speed, but they only have room left for midlevel type contracts, so not enough to facilitate a tradeCleveland - No
Chicago - No
Cleveland - No
Denver - Not really
Detroit - Yes; Baynes will likely sign under MLE
Golden State - No
Houston - No, and would have to make deal of its own to add cap space
Indiana - Some space with West opting out, but likely looking to use it on a FA
LA Clippers - None
LA Lakers - Yes, and actually should use it to get some long term assets back instead of burning it on bad free agents
Memphis - No
Miami - No
Milwaukee - No, used it up on Monroe
Minnesota - Surprisingly none, unless they get rid of Garnett or move him to a low cap number. Perhaps could have high-seven figures, but probably not enough to take on assets
New Orleans - Not enough to be dangerous with
New York - Yes, see Lakers
OKC - No
Orlando - Yes, as seen by recent Millsap pursuit
Philadelphia - Yes, even after adding $16 million in trade with Sacramento
Sacramento - Yes, but they would not have done a salary dump just to take on someone else's dump
Toronto - No, after Carroll signing
Utah - Yes
Washington - No
So that really leaves just Detroit, Lakers, New York, Orlando, Philadelphia, Sacramento, and Utah teams that can take on salary dumps. Detroit, Philadelphia and Utah seem like most likely facilitators, though Utah may look to try to make run at 8th seed this year instead.
Personally, I never thought he was a particularly good fit for the Spurs.
(Although, considering the magnitude of his talent, you have to get what you can get.)
I'm headed to the draft house to drink beer. You nigs don't Monteith yourself before he makes a decision, aight?
"The Suns surprised Aldridge by bringing Chander into the meeting and informing him they had agreed on a deal with Chandler. If Aldridge wanted to stay, Portland had considered signing Chandler as part of the free agent's preferred supporting cast, sources said." -- Woj article
This is what is killing me...max money, championship contender, player that is from Texas and respects the team and players...if he says no...where's the Prozac?
Spurs won't overreact to tweets from outside sources. I guarantee the Aldridge camp is letting them know his direction. Maybe he ends up visiting teams, but I wouldn't say it's a foregone conclusion.
Sign O'Quinn and then trade for Gibson with the Splitter TE.
The he only reason I think lma is hesitant about sa is how long Duncan and pop have left .I don't believe he wants to be in sa if Duncan is only gonna be around a year or two
it. Give him the max he wanted PATFO
Oh stop being reasonable. Can't you see we're enjoying out meltdown?![]()
What I do wrong?
How did the Heat get the third spot?
This is getting annoying, tbh..Aldridge is a top 20 player in the league, he's not a superstar, these games and indecisiveness are irritating..I understand that it's his last big deal, but it's still pretty make considering he's meeting with ty teams like the Suns and Lakers..
The front office has put themselves in a hole by trading Splitter, though, they are all-in..getting a slightly above average big like David West doesn't move the needle..
lol spurs should sign wade and west. tell lma to off
Just end this already. I just want a tweet showing the Spurs have moved on. Gotta play hardball. Tell him he's got three hours to make a decision, or we are taking our money elsewhere. He played in Austin and he's played in SA many times. So flying here isn't going to make a difference. Time to drop him off the list.
