I don't disagree with you. If I were Russ/KD, I'd be totally checked out as long as Presti is running things. You have two great scorers, one of whom is ball dominant and the other who should be more ball dominant.

To improve your team, you go out and trade for black holes in Waiters and Kanter. Kanter's AST% is down there with guys who score only via alley oops and who clean up the glass. Oh, and Brook Lopez.

Waiters' is similarly awful for a guy who can't shoot. Exclusable for Klay Thompson to be in his range, and even Kevin Martin / Aaron Afflalo, etc. They all have TS% of 53%+. Waiters was 7% worse.

Meh..while Aldridge is overrated and I've never been a fan of his game, it's still a no-brainer to take a talent like that on your team, especially considering Parker is probably finished as a high-level scorer..Spurs need weapons, and you don't pass up a top 20 guy..

More importantly, at this point, the alternatives are scarce..
