Mavs don't have enough cap space. And lol at this being the best Parsons can do.
They have a nice core for 2017 when a bunch of guys come free. PG, backup PF/C and another wing are the holes they need to fill now.

Parsons had microfracture, is limping around, and will be close to 30 in 2017. Jordan is nothing without a PnR PG, and will be a huge liability at the FT line in the 4th. both of those guys want to be the first option and will clash. Not to mention Wes and his Achilles.

This is where the Clippers drafting Reggie Bullock over Rudy Gobert 2 years ago really comes back to bite them in the ass

This isn't about winning a le next year. Chandler will be there in 2017.Nothing on the books except him and Wes/DJ.

I disagree. Obviously the Mavs get significantly better with this deal, but I think this is more about setting them up for the future/life after Dirk. They now have Deandre, Wes, and Parsons locked up long term. Gives them stability and attractiveness to other FA's. I don't think they are good enough to contend for a le next year, however. They still lack a PG and any real depth.

Yeah good luck coming back from a ruptured achilles, especially as a guard in this league.

Good luck with that. Seven years, and still no post moves, jump shot or free throw shooting. Mavs just signed Ericka Dampier all over again.

Besides the dubs, who does? Everyone's bench who was legitimate thinned out.
