no surgery for patty patty would have gotten that contract
Agreed. Spurs took advantage of that injury. But for it, Patty probably goes elsewhere last year.

So why is it you're the only one who sounds desperate? And if West decides that ringing is what's most important, this will be one of the best off-seasons ever.

I wonder what the chances are of Kobe learning how to be young and healthy?
Desperate? I'm just talking hoops. What does Kobe have to do with this thread?

As much as I hate to see COJO go, I am happy he is getting a well deserved payday. I will never forget the game he had against the Thunder when he was really the only player in the game that was trying to win that game. Unfortunately, going to Toronto pretty much assures him of never going to playoffs every again. He will be the starting PG on a bad team and I just hate to see a player of his talents go to an organization that will not use him to his full potential. The Spurs put so much time in developing him, now it sucks to see another organization squander that hard work.

I think the contracts that guys like Cojo, Baynes, and Marco are getting are a great recruiting tool. It shows players what being a part of this organization can do to your future value. There is no need to panic. The Spurs will round out the roster just fine. It's not like this stuff is coming is a suprise to the FO.

I don't forecast many bogus DNPs for Duncan either. No Baynes. No Splitter. LMA was adamant that will NOT play center.

LOL - you're the one living on another team's message board. Just saying - I like LMA on defense a lot more than I like Kobe's chance of finishing the season. Or does the cross-pollination of comments only work one way? I guess I wouldn't want to be talking about the Lakers right now, either.

Y'all lost 2 of your best defensive bigs and guard drpth. LMA better learn how to defend real quick.
You think Baynes was one of the Spurs' best defenders?

lol now we know you're just trolling. No one who actually watched the Spurs would ever say that.

With him gone, less likely Duncan has DNPs. Again, LMA said he ain't playing center. Thst means more minutes and more games for Duncan in his 19th year.

Don't you think it's more likely that CoJo's representatives reached out to the Spurs and asked them to withdraw the QO after Toronto made an offer they couldn't refuse?
Pretty much. Sounds like the Spurs renounced the QO a couple of hours before Lou Williams to LA2 went public, and CoJo was their backup plan in Toronto.

Are you saying the Spurs will sign no more players and this is the roster they are playing the entire season with?

Baynes is a bum. So was Splitter. But, they were serviceable enough for you guys to use to rest Duncan and keep him fresh for the playoffs. Those 2 luxuries are now gone.

I'm not sure why our resident illegal decided to venture upstairs and "talk hoops" explaining to Spurfan why you can't replace an Arn Baynes.......

I 100% guarantee dis has never watched D'Angelo or Julius play a single game before the draft but i'm sure he's touting them as the next great players already....

Like I said... good guy....but one of the stupidest bball minds on the site with the most generic basketball takes

You can crow now that you have big, bad Hibbert on your squad.
