After the Aldridge effort, I don't think the Spurs are going to be content trying to find answers to the bench situation from within the organization.
For the role that he would be asked to fill (and for the price tag) Andre Miller might actually be ideal.
He has obvious limitations, but he can certainly facilitate the offense better than either Mills or Joseph with a second unit and could, at times, allow Mills to slide to a purer shooting role at times to save Manu (if he's back). A Mills/Miller backcourt would be defensively hideous, but the ball movement that a group with Miller, Mills/Manu, Diaw could create would be a sight to behold.

I cannot believe that the FO or Duncan or some other teammate hasn't contacted Manu by now.
Yeah, I'm sure they've completely forgotten about him.![]()
Look as spurs fans it would be perfect if our roster was set by opening night. But it's not going to be. It's likely we build as the season goes on like the cavs did. Rember 2012 when we traded Jefferson for Stephen Jackson. Likely moves like that will help us build. Hopefully we sign one more big before then!
but he's a worse shooter and passer
Miller can give Spurs solid minutes
Who's to say they haven't?
That would kill my Aldridge boner.
Boozer makes me want to throw up. I hope that's all BS by his agent.
don't worry. just CIA Pop making other teams think Spurs want him. right?
I have such an irrational hate for Loozer that I would rather have Ayres than him. At least Ayres being bad gives him some comedic value.
Bc our cap space is now mostly consumed, we have to either fill out the roster with aging veterans on minimum salaries or young, most likely undrafted or D-league players. Boozer, West, Scola, etc are good value on a minimum deal. Basically need 6 fouls and someone who can battle with centers.
Am I the only one that wants Psycho T?![]()
I hope he goes to the Mavs![]()
at least take him out to dinner first
A team doesn't really want to be mentioned as being in a conversation unless they don't really care about landing the player.
prefer scola over boozer
While I agree that the Spurs are likely in that rumor to bait others to join in the chase, any real pursuit of Boozer would suggest that the West thing is over.
I can't see the Spurs devoting resources to two relatively similar players like West and Boozer.
Can't wait to see Manu's new hair, tbh.
