Current roster projection stands as follows:

    Parker, Mills
    Green, Ginobili
    Leonard, Anderson, LJC
    Aldridge, West, LaLanne
    Duncan, Diaw

Three spots left. One for a vet PG who can run an offense and who can stand sitting on the bench most nights. One for a wing who's looking to rebuild his career. And one for a young seven-footer who has long-term potential with the team.
You think LaLanne has a good chance of making the roster?

And what about Bonner? His days are over?

GTFO... nobody walks away from $10M per year. This is like some kind of Twilight Zone thing. West is a pure badass. He is potentially the Mario Elie tough guy that this team has needed since, well since Mario Elie left.

Daaamn, this has to be the best offseason any team ever had.

Kawhi is going to have a ton of room to operate, this season..depending on the touches, he should be getting to the line a lot..
with all these bigs that can hit the Mid Range Jumper + Danny / Mills / Kawhi / Manu / Boris from three that's some ing awesome spacing right there... the other good news should be for Parker, less responsability offensively, lots of penetration and dish opportunities, space to operate inside etc..

I'd say it's much more likely that they bring back Bonner for the vet min rather than bring on Lalanne...wouldn't you?
I don't think they'll cut LaLanne unless he both sucks and is insistent on staying over. They seem really excited by him. Bonner may be back as the sixth big, but I hope not.

It'll be a challenge, with four major players preferring the midrange.

My exact same first thoughts (exchange "ridic" for "amazing").

I definitely think they want some young legs with their entire big-rotation being 30 or over by the start of the season. I think they should have two guys 25 or younger just to balance things out, but they could take an Okafor, seeing as the fifth big is likely to play a good number of minutes.

I just hope they go out and get a legitimate center. As great as this offseason has been, I still feel a little uneasy about the idea of Duncan being the only guy who can really go up against guys like Dwight/Marc/DJ/Asik/etc. Aldrich or Withey would be perfect for that.

Thats what I was thinking.if anyone should be excited it's tony.now can he take advantage and get to the rim and finish this season ?not to mention ton of assist opportunities

Hoy the Spurs FO is making some serious deals! West has a short fuse but should be fine on the Spurs.

Which is why more than just a few of us believe there's some under the table dealings going on here. This is worse than when Kirilenko took way below his market value to play for the Nets because it was believe their Russian owner would compensate him in other ways.

    He's right about that, tbh.

With the money he's giving up to play for them, Did spurs at least promise him a coaching job in their staff after he hang it up??? Is that a legal?

Aldridge is going to be shooting way more 3s this season IMO, based on comments he has made about making it the next step in his evolution..

I think we'll see a lot less of Leonard being a spot-up shooter like he often was with Duncan/Splitter clogging the lane(his offense usually improved significantly with Diaw on the floor)..

I hated David West on the Hornets, but damn he's willing to play here for the vet min?! Nice.
i hated him too back then. With indiana he changed deeply though. Today he is a fundamentally sound pf with a physical edge. Absolute coup.

LJC is a 3? I thought people were saying his best chance was at 4?
