If you're talking about Cubby, aka Dale Robinson, aka Culburn Castleberry, the man is a racist, sexist psychopath. The reason he is not tolerated at phxsuns.net is because he spams the board with new threads at > 10 per minute, with unacceptable headlines. He's talked about raping female Hispanic board members, told minority posters they should be slaves, and so forth.

Besides, the mods don't enjoy it when he posts several hundred new threads with this kind of sick stuff...we had to do this most recently about three weeks ago.

Regarding Suns fans' thoughts on the Spurs: for the most part, it is a grudging respect. The organization is pure class, as are Duncan, Parker, Fins and several other players. SUNS FANS GENERALLY HATE THE LAKERS.

However, Suns fans really hate Ginobili. Because he was flopping, one of our players went down for several weeks.

Regarding Suns fans' thought on the postseason:

(1) Without Amare or KT back, the Suns will be lucky to make it past Denver.
(2) Without Amare or KT back, the Suns will be swept by San Antonio.
(3) With KT but not Amare, it is a compe ive series that the Suns might be able to pull out, but the Spurs will more likely win.
(4) With both KT and Amare back, it is the Spurs who should be worried.

Of course, these are only my opinions. However, I've been around .net long enough that I can say that most VETERAN posters think pretty much the same way.

I have respect for the Pistons.

I have respect for Kobe.

I have respect for Shaq.

I have respect for Steve Nash.

Prove yourself worthy of respect. Beat us or test us in some way.

It's just basketball. It's all about fun and games. It's entirely a diversion. Hate is a difficult emotion for me to fathom in almost any cir stance; but to be hateful of a basketball player (or any athlete or entertainer) seems to me to be a misplacement of priorities.

Hate terrorists; hate despots and their attendants; hate threats to your own freedom, safety, and welfare; hate an ex-wife, ex-boyfriend or ex-girlfriend who hurt you.

Hating basketball players, though, is pretty dumb in my estimation. They all can do what we only wish we could. And, if you watch them, unlike internet posters, they generally seem to have a universal respect for each other -- perhaps because each knows how difficult it is to reach that level. Ultimately, they have more reason to truly hate another player than those of us who just post on the internets. If they don't hate each other, why I should I hate them?

No I'm not. Been accused of such at ESPN, AZcentral and now here and .net. I'm a realistic Suns fan who accepts some things as reality (like 0&37) while still being hopeful for a Championship. I don't try to hide or shelter myself from differing opinions or from an unbiased media...

In the close to six years (hard to believe, ehh Mike?) that I've known Cubby, we've had are run-ins as I'm sure Cubby would give testament to, so I can understand the frustration to an extent. I've picked and poked fun at him, sometimes crossing the line and whenever that's happend, he's let me know in various ways. Overall, however, I'd much rather have AZcentral and Spurstalk than another "Happy rays of sunshine" message board. I've pretty well stopped posting at all others because of it.

I'm done with this thread. I've wasted more time on .net here than I've ever wanted to. You run a tight ship over there. I guess your site's motto is "Don't rock the boat."

i seriously hate suns fans, they always have excuses when we beat them at there own game last season, and this season they played without amare for nearly the whole season, and without amare doesnt stop them from winnin games, but when the spurs make them look like pretenders they bring out the excuses that they dont have amare. So what are there excuses for the other losses? oh yeh we dont have amare, big freakn deal, the teams that have beatened you deserved the credit.
