We have nothing to lose, why not?.![]()
It'll be an interesting preseason to say the least with all the new players.
I can't remember being this excited for a preseason.![]()

Unreal team tbh
Dat spacing.....
people need to stop thinking in terms of fredette in terms of a night in/night out rotation player. parker and mills are injury prone and i believe fredette is just there as a credible back up's back up. so if mills gets more time at the 2 spot, the jimmer can move into the slot after mccallum which could yield some PT on nights where parker is being rested. spurs are creating a roster where no matter how far into the bench you look there is someone who can give you some credible minutes. and it's a great blend of veterans and developing players too.
Yeah. I suspect fourth wing is going to be a season long compe ion, like backup PG was in '12-'13. And given that Anderson is a poor fit next to Ginobili and Simmons a questionable one and the fact that they're both inexperienced, it's probably more likely than not that whatever wing they ultimately settle on for the fifteenth spot (and it could take until the buyout period), becomes the fourth wing. That means they can't afford to throw this spot in the garbage.
Since Fredette will supposedly receive a "modest" guarantee, there's obviously no harm in this, so it's worthwhile. But realistically, he'd be a terrible fit next to Ginobili and Mills defensively. If they're going to pair them with a shooter that can't defend, then it has to be someone who can at least physically defend their position.
Well, we're talking about the 15th player on the roster, so I don't think anyone's going to be ing giddy about it, but the kid's a shooter. The fact that the Spurs have a lottery pick as a reclamation project to fill their final roster spot is testament to how ridiculously deep this team is.
No better player to have in the closing of a game when the Spurs have a lead and need to make their free throws.
What? No press conference?
It really is RIDICULOUS how damn deep this roster is. It looks like a video game roster with BS trades pulled off.
good point
McCallum - Jimmer - Simmons - Bonner - Marjanovic
That 3rd string team would have a good shout against many 2nd string NBA teams
I like it. And id like to see him rotating in with the better units too.
He will get better looks at SAS than anywhere else with our system. He has glaring weaknesses on defense, but he is another pawn for Pop to make use of when the matchup is right
I guess it's a decent signing.
I really wouldn't mind seeing him make the team actually.
Shooter that could potentially shoot the Spurs back into a game that they are getting clobbered in. If he doesn't make the shots, the Spurs were losing anyway. It could be a win/win situation for Jimmer. He better work his ass of though.
Don't really want him. But if he's another body for training camp, I guess it doesn't matter.
Can we get a real backup PG? TJ Ford was the last actual real PG we had and that's been a while.
Now, I wish I had spoke up in the previous threads and said I want Jimmer. I have no way of proving my alleged genius now![]()
He has the "Limitless Range" perk in 2k. I think the team can use this.
If the Spurs wanted an undersized white guy that shoots threes should of drafted RJ hunter. RJ Better and younger TBH.
And our second team might make the playoffs in the east.![]()
Spurs are done with people named RJ.
I thought Eddie was looking great on his threes; so, it's not like I don't want him. I hope that the Spurs keep him in their system. But Jimmer can shoot too; and he can actually play both guard positions and be a play maker.
Spur fan, ripping on Cojo yet sucking off the worst defender in the NBA. ing gots.![]()
I don't think they'll be competing. Veterans have to be greatly outplayed to lose their spots to people down in the system. Eddie will be up with the Spurs in a year or two if he keeps playing well though.
